I created this game before releasing the bigger title in the series.

In the new game, the character will be able to do much more, and the islands will be larger and richer to explore.

If you want to try this earlier project and leave a comment, I would really appreciate it.

Here’s the link to the game

Do we know when the results of the BIG Game Jam #9 will be published? Just checking if there’s an official date.

Can I also submit a gameplay-only video, where the game is being played without commentary? Here is the YouTube link.

There are only a few hours left before the jam ends, so I decided to record a video showing how to finish my game and some tricks along the way. I didn’t cut out the two or three mistakes I made while playing — they’re all in there!

The jam is almost over, only two days left, so I’ll reveal the trick to get past the spikes.

Move your character slightly to the left,  between the second and third spike, and then keep jumping continuously.

You should be able to pass that section easily.

Great job! The graphics are really well done and the movements feel smooth to control.

Thanks for the reply!

Great game, I really had fun playing it. I’m not sure if it already supports touch controls, but if not, I’d recommend making a mobile version — games like this work really well on phones.

Hi! I have a question: is it allowed to create a 3D game as long as the graphics and gameplay follow NES limitations? For example, using 3D models but rendering them with NES-style colors and restrictions.

“Great game, and the gameplay is solid. I’m not sure if it already works on mobile, but if not, you should consider converting it — this kind of game does really well on phones.”

Very fun game! I think it would be perfect on mobile too. If it’s not already compatible, you could add touch controls with a virtual joystick.

Great ! Keep going, you’re almost at the end of the game — you might even be the first one to make it!

Thank you for the feedback! The spikes can be tricky on the first try. A small tip: move slightly to the left, between the second and third spike, and then keep jumping without stopping. You should be able to get through easily. Thanks again!

Nice game with graphics that really stand out from the other entries, and good gameplay too. Great job!

Nice mini‑game! I’m sure you’ll polish a few things after the jam like everyone else. Great job!

The game is nice, but it’s really difficult. Great job!

The graphics are well done, the sound is maybe a bit loud, and the gameplay is good. Great job!

Thank you so much for taking the time to play my game!

I just wanted to know if anyone managed to get past the rock section in my game.

Let me know, I’m curious because I promise that part can be completed!

If you haven’t played it yet, try to beat that section!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

Actually, at the beginning I had added wolves chasing the character. They moved around obstacles and even jumped over them, but I noticed they were too distracting, and the game was already difficult enough. That’s why I removed them.

Thanks again for playing!

Thank you so much for the feedback! I’m really happy you liked the idea. You’re right about the joystick — I’m already working on making it smoother and more natural. Thanks again for taking the time to play it

This is my game, thank you.

Nice game! I enjoyed playing it.

Nice game! I enjoyed playing it.

Nice game! I enjoyed playing it. I noticed that when I stop, a cube appears instead of the character.

Nice game! I enjoyed trying it.

Nice game! The only suggestion I can give is to add a crosshair to the gun, so the player can see exactly where they’re aiming.

Good luck to all the participants!

Thank you so much for playing my game.

I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much for your comment!

I’m really happy that you enjoyed the game and appreciated the use of the GDevelop assets.

I’m also glad that you liked the sound effects and noticed the work done to add mobile controls.

Once the jam is over, I will definitely work on improving the game.

Thank you so much for your comment! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game.

I'll check out your game as well and try it out

Congratulations on managing to get past the mines, and I hope you also made it through the spikes.

Those two sections were intentionally designed to be difficult, to test the player's skills.

After that part, the game becomes a bit easier. Thanks again for playing!

No AI was used. Graphics and code were made manually
