Awesome concept! Definitely one of those would-pay-to-see-this-as-a-full-game ideas. Weirdly enough, I think the simplistic art style serves the story perfectly, as the dialogue would be doing the heavy lifting. Your job then would be to make sure that each scenario is more distinct or memorable from a writing standpoint. Overall, well done! XD

Loved how much of the vibes comes through! I feel transported inside of a Tumblr wholesome-witch moodboard! Although the way the choices are laid out sometimes led me to metagame a little bit, the story I think did its purpose in giving a message about when to follow rules and when to break them. Very well done <3

I was looking for an inspiring VN to get my creative juices flowing and instead got awe-struck by the lovable characters, heartwarming stories, and CATS OMG THE CATS.

The Wake is a short visual novel starring a deadbeat detective waking up in a place with no memory of how he got there, and no one (living) to accompany him. What's not to like?

This is also the first game I ever made, so feedbacks are appreciated!
