Hello there, I emailed you as requested, but didn't hear anything back. Anything else I can do for you?

Hi! Thanks for playing. The sound effect is a remake of the sonic ring which I took from here: https://samplefocus.com/samples/sonic-ring-type-fx. They have it listed as royalty free under a standard licence. As for why... Well, I thought it was funny to equate a sound most gamers associate with gaining wealth (and life) to the idea of amassing debt, the implication being that wealth itself is a form of debt.
Thank you for the detailed feedback. That's really interesting to hear. I am certainly trying to create a sense of discomfort and the feeling that everything is somewhat futile, however I don't want it to be as frustrating as you said. I'll think about maybe adding more options to recover the excesses or maybe more hints as to how to proceed in other ways.
About typos - so sorry. I'm rubbish at spelling, always have been, but I will do my best to find and destroy them!
I can't take credit for the character art, that is all by a creator called LOW (find him here on itch).
Once again, thank you for the invaluable feedback.
This is a sweet, straight forward rpg maker game. I quite like the character sprites and some of the portraits. I can't say I felt very engaged in the story and the humour didn't really do much for me. I feel like there are quite a few in-jokes that I didn't get. Even so, the dialogue is punchy and short enough not to overstay it's welcome. Congratulations on finishing the game!
This is a very sweet game. I like the feeling it invokes. You've added a lot of beautiful touches with the graphics. Very nice stuff.
Like another player said, I found passibility issues with almost every house that I checked. I also locked myself out of progressing by making the soup before feeding the pig. I also found another issue that when carring the pot I was able to cross through the field and the girl got stuck somewhere behind me. It didn't cause any lage problems though.
I absolutely loved my time with this one. It's a beautiful, deep experience which may speak to anybody suffering from (or surrounded by) oppression and persecution - a sad tale as old as time, and worth retelling constantly. And the story itself is well told, mysterious and slow to reveal itself in a satisfying way. The theme is necessarily unclear, so that the reader can interpret the nature of what's happening in their own way, but never unclear.
I love how the game uses the battle system to tell sections of story, although I did find it a bit inflexible at times, as the outcomes are predetermined. This worked well in the second battle scene because I had the opportunity to try other options until I had to give in to the inevitable, but not so well for a later scene in which I felt I had to know the exact options expected of me.
Outside of battle the gameplay is varied in each area, keeping things fresh and engaging.
Of course the art is lovely, although I sometimes felt like some animation may have helped make it seem more alive. For example, the first area felt very dynamic with the moving stars and clouds, but the river just ahead felt less so as the water didn't flow at all. Still, it's only details.
The only thing I would say though, is please consider changing the sounds for cancel and select, they are super loud and out of place. I muted the game after a while.
Again, I loved this. Thank you for the story.
A nice, calm experience, exactly as promised. The core of the game is very lovely. The mechanics are simple but engaging, the artstyle likewise. I wonder if a bit more variation in the background art may help build a bigger connection with the world and the journey. All in all, the game succeeds in what it sets out to do and could be exactly what somebody is looking for.
Well, I do love a good 'King in Yellow' reference.
So, I like the theme for this game, it's very unique and oozes with dark, surreal fantasy vibes. The issue is that I wasn't really sure what was supposed to be happening or what I should be feeling about it. The end was very surreal and a bit drawn out, again leaving me questioning what the story was trying to convey.
As for the gameplay, I thought it was very interesting! I've never really played anything with these kind of dice rolls and they added a good amount of tension to the combat. I also liked the insecurity that came with ingesting unknown potions and the fact you can interact with the enemies in other ways than just fighting.
Overall, I think this is a really interesting project. With some expansion, polishing of the text, and a clearer 'path' or 'goal' for the pilgrim, I think this could have a lot of promise.
Hi! I found a weird issue.
The plugin works perfectly in most cases but sometimes it just, doesn't. For example, I have a very large event with five or six pages using different trigger conditions. I'm using your Conditional Choices in, let's say, four of those pages, and in a common event call. Everything is perfect.
Then, when I paste the event into a different map, the plugin does not work on page 3. Other pages are fine, as is the common event call. As an experiment I copied that exact page and pasted it with no changes into its own event and it works as intended.
I hope that all makes sense. Any ideas what might be causing this interferrence?
Oh, thank you!
Here is Galv's plugin: https://galvs-scripts.com/2020/09/16/mz-message-styles/
I'm really just using it for the speech bubble style message boxes.
