:D Yes, they do linger longer over the objects with beans! I only did that because I couldn't implement anything more sophisticated atm.

And, I was imagining I'm building a game where you pilot a mech, but right now all I can manage is a bean throwing a bunch of ball on other beans, LOL.

I am glad though that even this super minimal learning experiment managed to convey (at least for one person) the underlying theme :)

Shot going over bean was intentional, after destroying an object you need to move back a little to then destroy the bean under it, and without any aiming help I guess it might be annoying, so maybe not that good of a design choice :)

Having some sort of aiming reticle that shows where a shot might land could probably be helpful, but it is currently beyond me how to implement that.

:D yes, BEANs are the best!

I was going to make "game over" mechanic if player rams into any of the objects, but didn't get to that part, instead a placeholder for that was that you loose all your money if you do ram any of them. I realized too late (after I submitted the game) that the money should go negative every time you ram an object instead of just resetting to zero.

Hey, you live (to game another round) and you learn....

Thanks! :)

I did want to have a visually distinct glow (the transparent sphere) for objects that hide a capsule, it was supposed to glitch for a split second which would (hopefully) give it away, but couldn't get it working in time (just started with Godot a few weeks ago).

Instead, I made the glow which appears over objects with capsules stay visible for a bit longer than when it appears over the ones that have no capsule.

That turned out to not be the best solution, because you have to be head on to multiple objects when scanning them to notice that some keep their glow for a little bit longer when the scan wave hits them all at the same time.
