I played the violin (long out of practice now though), so Pachelbel's Canon in D wasn't painful for me.

The Pachelbel Rant came to mind when the game jam theme was announced and I was already reviewing old class work where I had done some initial exploration on music visualization.

Thanks for the feedback on the attack rate. I didn't leave myself a whole lot of time to tweak the feel of the "attack" interaction and I agree that a 1 attack per second does feel slow. Other aspect I was attempting to balance it with was the "hit points" as the desired game over state is the entire game screen covered in flashing color/sound.

Thanks for checking out my game. I was still figuring out how to implement a "sanity" gauge that depletes while hearing the sound and replenishes when in silence up to the deadline, so I didn't have time to fine tune numbers and UI/UX in addition to learning how to set up the game over screen.
