Goblins/Elves: We pledge to help you in your quest.

Goblins: Our numerous and diverse army will follow you into whatever battle fate may bring. We will change our culture, and even change our very bodies, to better serve the cause.

Elves: We can, uh, sell you this bow. And teach you how to make arrows! (On your own. From your own materials.) And teach you ecomancy! (It’s not very useful on its own.) Oh goodness gracious, look at the time! You need to go slay the Demon Lord! Good luck~!

I have really enjoyed that when the traditional ROT13(“nyy qbbef ner gur jebat pubvpr”) section pops up, the twist is that ROT13(nyy qbbef ner grpuavpnyyl pbeerpg, fvapr gurl yrnq lbh onpx gb Ebbz Bar).

I’m ashamed that I ever doubted you, Observers! T_T

10/10, perfect, no notes.

Truly, a diamond in the rough. You’re 90% of the way to a great game already. Such tension with such simple idea and such simple controls!

The obvious point of improvement is adding feedback on failure. Right now ascending on an unsafe floor results in a “Wait, what?” moment - it seems quite important to inform the player on what they missed.

Understandably, the ending is anticlimactic, but the core idea is intriguing.

The obvious criticisms are that it’s hard to tell at a glance: A) whether the tiles at the edge of the board loop or not, and B) how much time a tile with an item on it has left.
