Just played the game and here are some notes

  • I have a beefy PC but this game activated all of the fans, it is consuming too much resource for what it is.
  • No sound, very important for feedback
  • cutscenes take a long time and cannot cancel them
  • the green portal lags the game when go through it
  • walking up the slope feels jittery
  • ladder climb is not implemented
  • camera moves very fast, no setting to control it
  • motion blur
  • one of the puzzles is broken? Swapping a ball with a square did not work for me
  • dropping the ball makes it roll and fall of the edge

The good things:

Control and movement seem nice. The levels felt inutitive and clear about what to do. Many people overwhel the player with hard combat or choices from the get go, but it is important to keep things simple, which I liked.
I liked the end of the level and the beginning of the new one, it is clear and fast, I think the pacing on that was perfect.

To imporve:

I would say that you are a bit far from a playtest. A playtest is usually done when you have a game that can be played for good 20 minutes, has the audio in place, controls, not the very bare bones and missing functionality, otherwise there is not much of a game because now I have to tell you about the technical stuff you have missing or broken instead of telling you if the game is fun or not, it's just not a productive conversation to have because I can't still tell you if the game is fun or not because of the issues.

My biggest concerns is the amount of resource this game consumes, it is not omptimised and people will get frustrated not to mention that people with lower end hardware will probably not be able to run your game.

Keep at it and continue learning, this is not the best start but it is a start and that is what matters!

Nice little game, I can see this being as something that you can play as a main game or put it on small screen on the side and just idle at it.

The icon from the flower currency we get is different from the flower texture we click on and that a little bit confusing.

Also, it feels like the Collection button exists in 3 different places with 3 different colour schemes and it is highlighted as a primary button and Continue as secondary, I feel it should be the other way around.

Graphics are cool but some colours can be a little bit brighter as I think some of the contrast meshes, which is not a major thing to be honest.

Hey I just tried your game and not sure if the controls are not working but was not able to move left or right.I am on a mac on firefox, might want to double check that.
I had to eventually quit since I couldn't do anything but here are some of my notes:

  1. Pixel art font is hard to read, I know some folks like it but I did struggle a bit
  2. Start button vs solo start? What is the reason for this? The first one suggests to me there could be multiplayer.
  3. While camping and clicking on the character, I can see some arrows but can't get to them, could be the controls issue.
  4. The button on the notepad are active and suggest we could scroll left or right where we can't, or at least that did not work for me
  5. Unstable ground if I stay, unstable ground if I move, I feel I got no reason to do both if the outcome is the same
  6. Leaving the camp shows a message that sounds like a warning and a bit FOMO, but I cannot really stay for long because of the collapse? Not sure what to make of it
  7. Yes/No buttons are in the wrong order
  8. While moving between tiles, I can see happiness reducing but cannot see it anywhere in the hud to see how much I got left
  9. Ultimately I had to leave as I couldn't move

    Hope this helps!

Really appreciate the time you have taken to give me the feedback! If I decide to make this into a post-jame update game, I will def add more, I had some many ideas but too little time, but it was a lot of fun. Thinking about it, I might keep this version as is and build on top of it seperately to fix some of the issues, kinda having before and after so to speak but we will see :)
