Just played the game and here are some notes
- I have a beefy PC but this game activated all of the fans, it is consuming too much resource for what it is.
- No sound, very important for feedback
- cutscenes take a long time and cannot cancel them
- the green portal lags the game when go through it
- walking up the slope feels jittery
- ladder climb is not implemented
- camera moves very fast, no setting to control it
- motion blur
- one of the puzzles is broken? Swapping a ball with a square did not work for me
- dropping the ball makes it roll and fall of the edge
The good things:
Control and movement seem nice. The levels felt inutitive and clear about what to do. Many people overwhel the player with hard combat or choices from the get go, but it is important to keep things simple, which I liked.
I liked the end of the level and the beginning of the new one, it is clear and fast, I think the pacing on that was perfect.
To imporve:
I would say that you are a bit far from a playtest. A playtest is usually done when you have a game that can be played for good 20 minutes, has the audio in place, controls, not the very bare bones and missing functionality, otherwise there is not much of a game because now I have to tell you about the technical stuff you have missing or broken instead of telling you if the game is fun or not, it's just not a productive conversation to have because I can't still tell you if the game is fun or not because of the issues.
My biggest concerns is the amount of resource this game consumes, it is not omptimised and people will get frustrated not to mention that people with lower end hardware will probably not be able to run your game.
Keep at it and continue learning, this is not the best start but it is a start and that is what matters!
