i will code needs a little refactoring but on my end its no problem right now i am just waiting for my friend that composed the music to renew his fl studio license and after the game jam i will continue working on it
as originally the game was suppoused to have 5 maps so thats how many itl have
and the leaderboards will obviously have to be revamped for that and other stuff
I apologize for the lack of features. As ive developed it without a game engine only using an opengl wrapper. Meaning ive had to program most features completely from scratch. Though i appreciate you playing the rushed demo.
note the races are time trails the are no enemies as that was completely out of scope to write an path finding algorhythm and also this is just a demo
if you want to you can check out the source code on github
ive decompiled and ported living alone 2 to support newest arm architectures and updated the rendering api
this unofficial port is still in works
and the reason for its existence is that the devs abandoned the game after release
ive removed IAP , Ads , sudden deaths (rng that randomly forces you to watch an ad) for gameplays sake
this game is an pixel art, life simulator
and the whole decompiled unity project has been published to github

I know i will add hitboxes after the jam ends. As i didnt have enough time to add them due to the complexity of the codebase. Thanks for the feedback :D i really value it
note if you press f3 and look at the debug menu you can see i have it prepared to be added
edit : ive already got an idea how i could implement collisions (similar system like checkpoints)
i mean the scaling wasnt done right graphically and the gameplay was just an mario style platformer but well worse considering everything
the scaling is suppoused to be done like this you draw to a 250x240 buffer or similar and then upscale it to monitor size yes thats allowed ive asked the game jam host
now other issues included the character animation not being inverted when running into the opposite direction => moonwalking bug
and over all the game wasnt a graphically smooth experience considering the time frame given to develop it
of course i understand that you might not be experienced with the game engine which you have used or similar but still 14 days still is quite a big time frame to figure stuff out and a platform like the one like youve made is not exactly an complex concept
of course ive never used game maker so i dont know how limiting in this regard it is as i am a bigger fan of more low level engines and frameworks that let me diy stuff myself
heres a definition https://www.malwarebytes.com/blog/threats/remote-access-trojan-rat
and yea i am aware i played the game i just skipped the whole installer partion
so i am aware that this is just a nullsoft packaged game but i am not gonna be giving admin perms to a random game maker project as nullsoft installers can still contain malicious nullsoft scripts => rats
so ive manually extracted the game using 7zip yes nullsoft dosent obfuscate its contents for the better or worse and ive played it to mediocre at best reception
