Hi Mandy - Stellar suggestion! Randomizing the goats (beyond day one) would add replayability, and the underlying code structure for the goats and level sequences is already set up in a way that makes it straightforward to implement. Definitely going right to the top of my list for the next update. Thanks again for the feedback!

Thanks so much for playing both versions and for the thoughtful feedback! Part of the challenge I was aiming for is tied to remembering the mandates as you go, but I think you’re right that the core of them could be emphasized more clearly. I’ll definitely explore that for the next update. Really glad the art and overall experience still came through for you!

Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback! Really glad you enjoyed the art, sound, and the gameplay twist. 😊 We’ve updated the post-jam version to make it much clearer which mandates are active during a run, so that part should feel a lot smoother now. Super grateful for your comments!

Made it up to level three but couldn’t quite snag that key. Really liked the idea of transforming your monster with power-ups to reach them - felt like a clever twist. The whole design gave me some nice nostalgic vibes. Overall, pretty cool game!

Thanks for giving it a go! Glad the humor landed.

Thanks so much for playing and putting together a video - that really means a lot! I’m glad you had fun with it. And your shot at the South African accent honestly cracked me up XD

A beautifully executed world with memorable characters and genuinely fun gameplay mechanics. The concept already shines, and it would be awesome to see even more - maybe new weapons, enemies, or even portal mechanics to mix things up. Either way, I think it’s an epic entry! Well done.

Thanks so much, Kaycee! Noted your ideas for V1.2—maybe there’s a clever way to hint at those keywords without actually highlighting them. Really appreciate such encouraging feedback from a fellow dev!

Thank you!

Awesome!

Here's my one: https://donniedev.itch.io/troll-toll-inc

Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback! Really glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and presentation, and you raise some excellent points about continuity and clarity - I’ll definitely keep those in mind for improvements. Appreciate you taking the time to dig into it!

And so, from this point forth, he shall be named... the Hellephant XD

Thanks! And yes, the troll-eat-goat animation was one of my last little feats—drew it with a shaky hand just an hour or so before the deadline XD

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the feedback. I agree about the speed - definitely something I’ll keep in mind for future updates or projects. Glad to hear you dig the animation and overall feel!

Thank you so much for playing and for your kind words! I completely agree about the speed, and I also noticed that bug—unfortunately only after uploading—but that’s okay. Every hiccup is a chance to learn and improve. I’m really glad you enjoyed it!

Awesome! Yeah, Kalotta is born for the spotlights :D

Being a cat owner has never been this stressful. Constantly clicking buttons to keep this little fur overlord happy had me questioning all my life choices. Somehow it’s both hilarious and addictive. Well played, and the music fits perfectly! Quick question—Is Karlotta a real cat you photographed for the jam? Anyway, good job on Need for Feed!

And here I was, expecting a quiet visual novel… but nope! I got a whole world where I could shoot fire at little dudes and livestock. Really well executed, and the music fits the story perfectly - adds a lot of cool vibes to the chaos. Well done!

I was pressing buttons like crazy, so that's always a good sign. I'd be lying if I said I was in control all the time, but that added to the gameplay, and yes those lecturers were bugging me when I wanted to cause bugs as a bug haha. Overall, I can say, salute to you!

Wow! Eventhough I do not want to cause mass extinction via nuclear annihilation, i still enjoyed hurling my lil'nuke into the hell that awaits. Anywhose, you did a stellar job on UI (in particular) and there's some impressive polish all round. Even the upgrade system and difficulty progression was very good. Keep making games Mark!

Thanks! Coming from the Kraken master of whistling chaos, that means a lot. Glad the funny bits and animations held up.

The pixel art is like a fine wine, and the explosions when you stomp through everything are ridiculously satisfying. I loved the intro/outro and how it takes you there and back again.  From a fellow pixel art enthusiast, I found it surprisingly emergent and engaging. Epic. Well done.

Mah'man. The kraken-slapping was addictive enough, but your ballads of the sea were the real treasure. Somehow your voice soothed me through the perils of crunching and submitting my own - as if Poseidon himself crooned “it’ll be okay, child.”

Ek wou die skip klap maar hy wou nienaber kom nie.

Wow, putting out fires in hell is no easy job! :D I really like the concept of the Hellehant—perfectly fitting to give it a trunk for the task. My house may have burnt down a few times, but persistence is key! Really nice use of particles too. Well done!

Is the attack on J a little NES/SNES tribute? :D Either way, the game feels really solid—the mechanics are tight, and the enemy knockback in particular is super satisfying. For such a small scope, it’s really well executed and shows you know exactly what you’re doing - And there's bigger okes that come later.  Big thumbs up from me!

I went bump in the night—though mostly into bushes! Joking. Nah, well played! I was really impressed by the smaller details, like the visual footprint cues and the faux 3D layering on rooftops. I did manage to snag all four trinkets, and had a blast playing through it! Definitely got some Commandos and Desperados nostalgia vibes creeping in, so thanks for that—and keep on truckin’!

Hello! I made everything bangalangalang and even gave the clothes a fright. The randomized scare sounds - a fine touch. Good job sir! :D

Thanks! A little broken yeah... I guess "the deadline" got to me there, but I still think Godot is an amazing engine, especially for 2D. There is also Godot 4 now so that's something to look out for.
