I was just checking this. As far as I know, if a game isn't tagged correctly, downloading it through the app can cause that error. But mine is tagged, so I'm not sure why the issue is happening. If it isn't a bug with the itch.io app, I honestly don't know what else could be.
I'm glad you could download it on the website, though! Hope you enjoy it, and thanks for the support! ❤️
The problem only exists on mobile with the APK, since Twine games are mainly for PC. So I'm basically forcing the Save to Disk feature to work on a device it wasn't meant for. And the PC version doesn't need this option anyway because it has the button at the end to create the file to import your choices in Act 2.
I get it. I've also gotten attached to IFs that ended up being cancelled or straight up abandoned, so I know the feeling 😔
This is the first act (or book if you prefer to call it like that) of the series, and it's 100% completed. Only cleaning up some remaining bugs thanks to some awesome people!
The second act is almost completed as well with the last chapter left. I'll begin the third almost as a regular update since the story is all planned out already. A new chapter usually releases every 2-3 months more or less.
Hehe! Well, the thing with Althos/Arminda and Belicar/Nisa is one of the most important plot points of the story, so I'm glad it's not so obvious ;)
I can't wait to get to the point where it's revealed. I'm excited to see everyone's reaction to that, lol!
Thank you so much for the comment again! Hope you have a great day too :D
Once you're in someone's route you'll get romantic moments with them no matter what (though a few choices in Ada/Omar's route depend on whether you slept with them or not at the end of Act 1).
If the data didn't import successfully like you told me in your other comment, maybe that's why. Sorry for the issue!
Yeah, I thought that could happen, lol! Belicar/Nisa's romance is way different from the others, for sure. But trust me, there are things that still need to be discovered to fully understand why they do what they do. I think I'm managing to keep the secret well. Let's hope it stay like that until it's time to show everything, hehe ;D!
Thank you so much for the comment and the support! <3
Omg, you've got me crying with this amazing comment like ahdjahsjhdjshfjf 😭😭 It makes me so happy! And I hope you continue to enjoy the story because there's still a lot of Remnants to see! ❤️
Music adds so much emotional weight to a scene, no doubt! There's a reason why it's in movies or games in the background. It's such an important part of any media! I definitely wouldn't have cried as much playing Clair Obscur Expedition 33 if we take out the incredible music.
That moment with Albert/Lavina is so special. Exactly what they needed to hear. I can't wait to see how the character develops in the future 🥰 You better be ready, because there's more of those moments coming! I've got one in my mind that's going to happen in Act 3, and only thinking about it makes me tear up 🥲
Thank you so, so, so much for the lovely comment! Hope you have a great day, and that you enjoy Chapter 9 and the rest of the story just as much! 😄❤️
(Btw, I love that contrast of your MC's light and Belicar/Nisa 👀)
You have no idea how much I'm trying to hold myself from saying something that could easily be a spoiler 🤣🤣 I'll just say that the way they said it can be misleading, and yes, it will be addressed in the future.
Thank you so much for the comment and the support! I'm glad to know you enjoyed the update! 😄❤️
Omg, you just made me so happy right now!! 😭😭 I'm so glad you're enjoying the story so far! There's still a lot of Remnants to see, and it's only getting better, I promise 😁
Actually, I've been tweaking this Act to improve the writing, and add a few more scenes and dialogue options for the MC. So, if you liked this version, I hope you check out the new one when I release it soon 😉
Thank you so much for the lovely comment!Hope you have a great day 😄❤️
Belicar/Nisa's romance is differently than the others. Their romance route is tracked through romance points since you can't lock in their romance yet. To be able to pick those choices, you need to at least have 3 romance points with them. It is done this way to separate those who want to romance Belicar/Nisa to those who just want to experience the main story without romance.
I'll revisit all romance choices with Belicar/Nisa and make them clearer so there's no confusion. Maybe by adding a heart emoji or something like that.
Thanks for letting me know so I can improve it! And don't worry, there will be more opportunities to increase Belicar/Nisa's romance score!
I never mind answering questions. I love it! :D
1. Is there a chance to fail the romances?
No, none. Once you're in their route there's no way they'll fall out of love with the MC.
I find it a bit silly (and annoying if it's a RO I like) when ROs can reject the MC in IFs. I understand the logic behind it, but it makes me feel that I can't play without a guide in hand. Obviously, the ROs shouldn't have to instantly like the MC and approve everything they say or do, but to have the chance of them breaking up with the MC... I'm glad for those authors who like it and add it to their stories, but it's a feature that will never be on mine.
2. On a scale 1-10 how angst filled are the RO routes?
It depends on what you consider to be angst. I think all of them have a bit of angst in them, but maybe I believe one of them is a 7, and for you is a 4, lol!
I'd say it's like this:
Ada/Omar: 6, maybe more if the MC knows they're in love.
Albert/Lavina: 2
Leire/Luca: 8
Rayco/Gara: 9
But! Keep in mind that the angst will stop for all of them except Rayco/Gara the moment they get together, so most of the time it will be more fluff than angst :D
3. On a scale 1-10 how fluff filled are the routes after establishing a relationship?
Like the second question, it depends on your definition of fluff, but for me is:
Ada/Omar: 5
Albert/Lavina: 9
Leire/Luca: 7
Rayco/Gara: 8
Thanks for the ask!! ❤️❤️
That's one of the best compliments I've received! I'm very happy to see you're enjoying this story so much, thank you! :D
And also thanks for reporting those errors! I run into them while testing and I thought I fixed them, but forgot to replace the file with the corrected version 🤦♂️. I already fixed that mistake and those errors shouldn't be there anymore! Hopefully I didn't miss anything else :D
The thing is only demos have the save option available, and it's only provided by Dashingdon (Now CoGDemos), not CoG. The final game which is later released by HG or CoG never has it. I think it's because they think going back to a previous point isn't how these types of games are supposed to be played. Like, if you make the wrong choice you should just go along with ir because it's how it's meant to be. Like you said, for replayability purposes.
This is just my guess, of course, but if it's true, I disagree with them.
