Right from the bat as soon as the game started. On Firefox.

Thank you!

:)

Thanks! The music was heavily inspired by the Obani Gemini music from Ratchet and Clank 3. I bet you would like that song too (it's much better than mine as well, probably wasn't made in 10 minutes :D)

Thanks! I love atmospheric games so that's what I strive for in my own games too.

Thanks!

The spider took me like half of the jam time to program, so I'm glad you liked it! Thank you very much for playing!

The slow movement speed is so the game doesn't take 10 seconds to get through, and you have time to actually look at the visuals and hear the sound ;). Thanks!

Thank you!

I wanted to make a 1:1 recreation of Rain World, but turns out a week isn't quite long enough for that :(. The spider was supposed to be one of many enemies that actually, you know, you have to fight or get past. I ran out of time HARD though, so I just kind of shoehorned the spider in at the end. :D Thanks!

Thank you! I like to think that's the part I'm best at so I'm glad you thought so too! :)

All I really had time to do for the game was the visual part. Spent (wasted) a lot of time on "unnecessary" details like the lighting (if you look closely at the ground and the background there is a lighting effect). So I just wanted this to be a chill experience where you take in the atmosphere, hence the slow movement. Glad you liked it!

Pretty innovative gameplay, though I didn't get to really experience most of it because I think I got a bug(?) where the player kept jumping and slowly moving right constantly. Then spamming jump would sometimes get me to mega jump. Weird! The visuals and audio are alright, although the music loop gets pretty samey after a while. Definitely cool stuff albeit a bit confusing. Great work!

Thank you!

Very cool! I like the art and the gameplay is pretty fun too, if not a bit repetitive. The audio is pretty lackluster but it's fine. Good job!

Wow this is just awesome. The presentation is crazy good if you guys truly made it all in 48 hours. Very good job! As others have said, the controls are a bit wonky, but other than that, I have no complaints really.

(1 edit)

Thanks a lot for the kind words.

Pretty good game all things considered. Good job. If I am allowed to nitpick, I think the music has a bit too much going on for what is happening on screen. The cuts and loops in the music are also very abrupt and I noticed them every time. The game is also filled to the brim with "zoomer humor" or whatever, which I don't particularly enjoy but that is obviously a me thing.

Ok I tried it again with the knowledge this time that it has to be an actual word (I am not a native speaker). I did it and finished the game but it's definitely still way too hard and random. I feel with that with the whole game kind of. The idea is definitely interesting but it's all just mindless annoying tasks to do like the "300 word great gatsby essay". Now obviously I don't know how you are supposed to do that one, if it even needs to be 300 words, but I just ended up spamming a key and space 300 times. That's just very boring and frustrating. Once again good job on the game and great idea, but just the execution could've been handled a bit better. I do obviously realize that 48 hours is very limiting.

That didn't seem to happen. I don't know if it's broken or what, but when I typed 5 letters nothing happened. I tried pressing every button afterwards but absolutely nothing happened.

I have no clue what you mean by "Moorhuhn game", but thanks either way!

Thanks! I originally had the idea of having multiple playable characters that you automatically switch between kind of like the attack patterns, but that would've probably been too hard to implement alone in 48 hours considering there was already so much time crunch.

Pretty cool. Got past the typing minigame pretty easily but I have absolutely no clue what you were supposed to do for the password part.

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback.

Thank you very much!

Thanks! The bug most likely had more to do with Unity rather than the game itself, but I could be wrong. I'm glad it was easily fixed though!

Thanks! The "prediction" of the player movement was added to combat boring playing (flying in circles), but adding the apples kind of removed that type of playing anyway, since you can't fly in circles while collecting apples. This means I probably could've just removed or adjusted the prediction to make the game more accessible, but since I didn't get enough playtesting and opinions in, I didn't realize to do so.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the kind words! I'm glad at least some people are able to enjoy the (probably too) high difficulty.

Thanks a lot for the kind words! The game requires pretty fast reactions, which sadly makes it pretty inaccessible to some if not most people. It's meant to be challenging, but since I can't get proper playtesting in such a short time, I tend to make games way too hard haha. I hope though that most people will be able to grasp the patterns (because even though it feels like the hunter is just predicting the player, it is just a very simple pattern in reality) and mechanics of the game after a few plays.

Thanks. The game is pretty challenging, but I hope most people are able to catch the drift after a few plays (The game is meant to be played at least a few times). I sadly didn't have time to implement real difficulty options or any other accessability, so the current difficulty selection just affects health and some game variables.

Thanks for playing. The difficulties really only affect the amount of health and the time it takes for the game to speed up.

Thanks for playing! I was debating making the game easier, but decided to keep it challenging. I just hope people don't mind the challenge too much haha.

Thank you so much for such kind words!

Thank you very much!

The ghost doesn't have hands... Thanks for playing.

It literally says right there how the game fits the theme... Thanks for playing?

Thanks a lot!

Most of the times my games are "too hard". It's difficult to please everyone, but I've learnt that in jams it's better to lean on the easy side to make the game accessible to everyone. Thanks for playing!

Pretty interesting. The fox character reminds me of Kingsley's adventure.
