I've been loving exploring all the other horror submissions; this may be the best so far! I love the audio design and the amount of detail in the environment. Really impressive work for 4 days.
Very interesting world with a cool mechanic, just a bit too confusing. I found the level design the most confusing part. With everything being so open, I wasn't sure where I should actually be heading. I also found the screen effects WAY too strong for me.
This has been my favorite so far! I LOVE the vibe. I'm super happy to see that someone also chose the weird eerie & eerie route. The character felt very unintuitive to control, and it was often too dark to see, so much so that I would lose my character. But even still, my biggest complaint is that there wasn't more. This is super cool.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT INFORMATION - I made a mistake when uploading the files for the game jam. I am not able to fix this until the jam is over. To fix this issue, rename the '_Data' folder to 'InThePineTrees_Data' and then launch the exe. The game will not launch otherwise.
