Thank you so much! After all the work that went into this, reading a comment like this fills me with joy.

The demo is just a taste: the full card game will launch on Kickstarter in October 2026, and I’m preparing lots of surprises.

If you’d like to stay updated, you can follow the project page.

Gattara the Cat Magnet on Kickstarter

Thank you for your support!

Hi everyone!

I’m David, the designer of Gattara: The Cat Magnet, a physical card game for 2–6 players coming to Kickstarter in October 2026.

I’ve just released a fully playable browser demo so people can actually experience the game mechanics before the campaign instead of only reading the rules or watching a video.

In Gattara you collect cats, steal them from your opponents and use cards to disrupt their plans. The main twist is the Meow mechanic: when a Meow card targets you, you can immediately counter with another Meow, cancel the incoming effect, double your own card and redirect it to another player,  which can create some pretty chaotic chains. 😹

The digital version is single-player against BOT opponents and is designed as a faithful demo of the physical game.

The goal wasn’t to replace the real tabletop experience, nothing beats sitting around a table friends, hiding your cats behind the screens and watching a Meow chain explode between players.

🎮 Play the demo here:

If you try it, I’d really appreciate feedback on the gameplay, BOT behaviour, clarity of the rules, or any bugs you notice.

Important: Please read the rules before playing; there are only three slides and they’re really simple, but they’re essential for understanding the mechanics.

Thanks for playing!
