Hi All! Recognizing that I didn't have the time to promote the Jam as I would have liked, I am extending the deadline to Dec 21 (Winter Solstice). With my schedule being more clear, I will be getting on the socials and pumping it up, and getting more folks involved.

For those that submitted already! I'll send you a nice little bonus for being so diligent!

I have released a work-in-progress of the Dungeon Bestiary, which you can view here:

This should give a better overview of some of the other monsters that have already been created, and their features, Critical Attacks, and Scars.

You'll notice that I separated out the DF, Doom, MA and # appearing into their own boxes in the layout. I thought it added a better pop of color, and helped them stand out more.

Yes, the features are meant to be a bit abstract, so as to not limit your creativity. A couple of minor suggestions...

Maybe update the "Can attack three times per turn." It's a bit redundant, as the MA score dictates that they have 3 attacks already... perhaps because it is a plant, a couple of special feature options could be:
- Regenerates 1DM per turn? OR
- Toxic poison on it's surface, and anybody who touches it has to make 1SV Tuff

On the CA, maybe it can be updated to be more in line with the "Conditional Save" mechanic, which requires a successful save before they can make further actions? So maybe something like "CSV Will for toxic spray"

Keep up the good work, and feel free to enter more cool monsters!

After thinking about a bit more - to be fair to everybody, I think entering 5 monsters per person should be the limit. However, I encourage you to make as many as you want, even if you only enter the 5!

Here is some ambient music to either play or illustrate to!

Amazing! We welcome multiple entries, and we can probably figure it out either way.  It might make sense to combine them if you later want to sell/share them as a package, but you also might prefer having them single projects on your page for better exposure, and then a bundle? We are flexible, either way!

Yes, as I was working through the Dungeon Bestiary, and was making dedicated monsters vs just the random tables in the core rules, I realized that having a specific Scar stat for when players have a topple - and then recover, made a lot of sense. I should note that it is a permanent scar for the rest of their lives, as well as the permanent Doom Die that they will have.

I think it adds to the flavor to both the monster and character, and is one less thing that the Doomsayer needs to worry about.

I am always hesitant to add extra rules to the minimalist game, but this seemed like a win-win.

Hey everyone! With my most recent video, I had a bunch of new entries pop into the Jam. I also anticipate a few more might come on board with my launch of Bug Busters on Kickstarter, and Fang being an add-on. As the goal of this jam was a build community around Fang, I am extending the deadline one last time to be December 21 (Winter Solstice), which seems appropriate!

I recognize that some of you have been super diligent in entering early! I will be sending an extra little something to you in your final package as a way to say thanks!

If it is more sandbox-y with a map and the players just bounce around in the location - I think that is absolutely fine! In fact, that is always my preference for an adventure design. You just create a scenario with cool locations and NPCs, and the adventure takes care of itself!

Hmmm... Im not sure of POD. I've successfully used Mixam for testing small print runs with that landscape format. I can also share my printing specs for the original FANG booklet, which has slightly thicker matte paper that was done on an offset printer (not a digital printer).

Would it be helpful to do a blog post with all the details? I was also thinking of doing a livestream where folks can hop on and ask questions in the near future.

A nice little review from the good folks over at Roll 4 Initiative!

It's a digital PDF submission, but you are welcomed to do anything you want with it, including printing it at some point in the future.

The templates are just there to assist folks if they are stuck, and you do not have to use any of them as part of the project. This is your own creation! The only request I have is to keep it "booklet sized, and horizontal," which is 8.5"wide X 5.5" high. The decision behind that request is so that it all matches with other adventures, and I also hope people do illustrations that span the entire 2-page spread - which was part of the fun of the original booklet.
