If you experience any issues while playing, especially connection problems, high latency, disconnects, stuttering, or performance issues, please let me know in the comments!

Any feedback or suggestions are very welcome. Thank you for playing!

Hi! I'm a solo developer working on Deep Hollow, a 1–4 player co-op cave exploration game.

The current demo is available here:

https://didimakesgame.itch.io/deep-hollow

I'm currently trying to figure out whether the core idea and gameplay are actually interesting to players, so I'm especially looking for honest feedback on a few things:

  1. After playing for a while, did you actually want to keep exploring? Why or why not?
  2. What part of the game did you enjoy the most?
  3. What was the weakest or most boring part?
  4. Would you rather play this alone, with friends, or not really play this type of game at all?
  5. If you saw a more complete version of this game on Steam, would you be interested in wishlisting or playing it? What would it need to convince you?
  6. Was there anything that made you think, "I want to see what's deeper in the cave"?
  7. If you stopped playing, what made you want to stop?

I'm not only looking for bugs or technical feedback. I'm mainly trying to understand whether the game itself is something people would genuinely want to keep playing.

You don't need to finish the demo. Even 15–30 minutes of playtime and a few honest thoughts would help a lot.

Thanks for trying it!

Hi! I'm a solo developer working on Deep Hollow, a 1–4 player co-op cave exploration game.

You can explore a large underground cave alone or with friends, use ropes to descend through steep terrain, dive into underwater areas, and search for four lost tablet fragments hidden deep underground.

The game also includes an asynchronous online system. Marks and traces left by other players may appear during your own expedition, and the things you leave behind can appear in someone else's world.

Of course, playing with friends also means they may accidentally make the expedition more dangerous than the cave itself.

The current demo is available for free on itch.io:

Here's a short gameplay video:

The game is still in active development, so I'd really appreciate any feedback, especially about exploration, navigation, co-op gameplay, and anything that felt confusing or frustrating.

Thanks for checking it out!
