I do want to update here. There was issues that left me unable to finish this for the jam. however, unlike some of my previous projects for jams that ended up like this, it hasn't been scrapped. in fact, its been built upon!

Fair warning, upon release, the leaderboard is going to be reset, so that players who tried the game during its development don't have an unfair advantage. Game description will be updated with controls as they are added/changed.
I plan to use GDevelop, so if there is someone else who uses that as a dev and wants to help out, I am open for that too. I am hoping to make a simple but fun game for this jam.
I am not too picky, but I do want people who will actually be active, so that things can get done within this short time frame. I have had issues with this in the past.
Itch.io Page currently broken, but GD.Games has been up since before jam end: https://gd.games/dhlabsgaming/escape-the-facility
Itch page is here, but, again, its broken: https://dhlabs-gaming.itch.io/escape-the-facility-game-jam-demo
I have never done it before LOL. I haven't even done 3D collision Period, to be frank, but for what I am doing, some very basic collision would be very helpful. (although I guess I haven't overturned every table, and peaked in every corner looking already In gdevelop for any kind of built in solution for this.)
I will admit, I am a little unsure about the scope of mine, but I was since the beginning, and for most of it, what I pushing to add are just the things needed for it to be a playable game. Not gonna lie, a bit nervous at this point because I haven’t heard from my second dev in two days, and it is going to be a crunch I feel.
Game does look good so far, rather impressive actually, but... is there ANYthing i can do other then look around?
As for ideas, I can give you a few i suppose from off the top of my head
1. The main player is a hacker, who must take control of something, for some purpose
2. You work some form of desk job, and must take control of the entire business when the rest of the workers suddenly leave/ you just run the business instead.
3. The room you are in starts getting chaotic, and in a meta sense glitches out, and you must take control of the situation to reverse it and fix the game.
I hate to pressure you, but if you are interested, I would like to hear from you sooner rather than later. That way, more time is available to be used to actually make the game, which would be necessary for what I have in mind, IF you think it's something we can accomplish. If not, we can probably quickly brainstorm up something simpler.
I am looking for a pixel artist for the jam, as well as a second dev. I will say though, I have never done things with more then just one dev before, so that is something I would like to ideally get figured out before the jam. Wether that be the second dev has or gets a subscription and adds me as a collaborator (if it is possible to do so with me not having one, cause I be broke…) or probably figure out GitHub or something.
For the artist, beginners are welcome, so long as your art doesn’t absolutely suck and you can pump out some assets relatively fast.
For the dev, I do feel someone with a bit more experience than myself would be very beneficial. And I say that because I don’t have trouble with very basic game systems, but when I try to make a complex mechanic… well… I have not had ONE success yet, rather several games on the back burner because I just can’t for the life of me figure them out. So, basically, I would need someone who could do those things.
That’s all.
Well, if you want, you can join my team! I technically have a composer that I have been working with since my last jam, but I feel that he will have enough to worry about as a voice actor for a voice acting jam I have going on this month, which for me is going to be on the back burner during this jam, as I am not the dev for that game, just the project lead and designer. Now for me to find a second dev MAYBE… and for sure at least one pixel artist.
Hello there! Thought I would drop in and say something here, cause I worked on this too, primarily as the project lead, and designer. I know it isn't perfect, but I do hope you enjoy what is here, and We would love to hear any feedback! (Especially me, this is the first time I have worked on a game like this.)
Maybe take a look at Left in the Dark? Right now it is just going to be the prologue and not the full planned version, but it should still be interesting. though, art wise, it is likely not going to be in a entirely complete state for the jam... I trust in the fact it won't look bad though. Haven't seen anything from the dev in a bit, but I trust in them managing to work things out.
In the final version I do plan to have voice acting in the game, and in fact am planning to voice act the main character myself, so If this stream is done at the right time, I could TRY to be a guest to do that voice acting. My internet isn't THAT great though, so I am not sure how well it would work.
Once It is up I will provide a link if you want!
Whatever the skill level, I just need someone, or a couple people, STAT. The artist who was going to do the characters basically lost interest after hearing the details and eventually walked out. The only real requirement I have is that you can be able to pump out a decent amount within a very tight time frame, not because I WANT to demand that of anybody, especially an artist, but because I have no other choice. If interested, please reply here or reach out to me on discord @DHLabs . The game being made for this jam has a story I lovingly crafted, with just the right amount of gameplay, at least I believe, we will find out once it can be played! This game's final, full version is planned to consist of three chapters, plus the prologue and epilogue. For the jam we were originally going to push for the prologue and ALL of chapter one, but now, we merely push, rather desperately to be honest, for the prologue.
I mean, I am looking for an artist.... not sure if an anime style would work exactly to be honest, but, I could give it a shot perhaps? My game is centered around a robotic fox who is sentient, in a ruined wasteland of a world, with some darker environments and overall spookiness. If you want to try I could send you a bit of my own concept art on what I am kinda looking for on discord? And, when you say script, do you mean like writing for the plot? Cause I do also need help with that. As of right now I mostly just have a rough outline.
