DANK ARMADA is live on itch.io.
A vector graphics space shooter from 1986 that couldn't run on any hardware at the time. The hardware finally caught up.
In 1986, a teenage developer named Elliot finished a space shooter for hardware that didn't exist yet. Forty years later, it finally runs — wireframe vector graphics, Galaga-style formations, seamless shifts between top-down 2D and 3D cockpit perspectives, orbit-mode combat against massive planetary structures.
Four modes of play:
- Top-down scrolling: Classic shoot-em-up with evolving enemy formations

- 3D cockpit combat: Lock on, dogfight, survive

- Orbit mode: Circle massive planetary structures bristling with defenses
- Super Classic mode: Asteroids style
Oh, and there's something else in the code. Cryptic terminal logs. Fragments of something Elliot didn't mean to write.
Some patterns should never have been completed.
$3 — Windows & Linux. Runs on practically anything.
