new record?

Ah alright, thank you. Glad to know I’m not going crazy haha

I’m not quite sure if it’s just me, but I am having so much trouble opening the peppermint tea bag specifically. The other packets open super easily. That aside, art is really nice and the atmosphere is quite relaxing.

Super cozy, really liked it. It took me until the spotted woodpecker to realize there were clues lol (that’s on me. It’s pretty obvious now that I see it).

Funny looking pigeon (Great game btw)

Shame you missed the deadline, would’ve loved to lose to this one. It’s very good and would have definitely beaten my submission lol. You should have posted it in the community tab in the jam, that way (I think) more people would have seen it.

Since I saw you used godot, I think this might be able to help: https://www.kodeco.com/45341300-publishing-your-godot-project-to-itch-io#toc-anchor-002. As for zipping your files, any zipping program will work. You won’t need to use 7-zip, so just use any program you have available to you

Thank you!

Ah sorry about that. I already toned down the explosion sound quite a bit, so I really thought I would be in the clear regarding loudness. I’ll make sure to keep it in mind for the next time.

The animation at the beginning and end were actually really good. I am a little confused as to what claude.ai is and what exactly it helped you with/what you used it for. Also a web build would be prefered, since the .exe was a little finicky.

Simplistic, but nice. Good job!

I think you did a great job on the pixel art and congrats on having your first game published to itch.io!

This is awesome! You did such a good job on this, really like it :D

IMPORTANT

Please rate me on the version with no grass. I couldn’t get the grass to work, so I ended up copying it from here (https://tawansunflower.gumroad.com/l/grass_youtube?layout=profile&recommended_by=library) into my own project (the one with grass). To be safe I have rendered out both versions (one with the grass and one without, as I wasn’t sure if it was allowed to use anything that wasn’t made by yourself in the time period). The rest I have made myself.

Really fun and silly game, not quite sure how well it fits the theme though. Because you do everything while you’re alive and when you die it’s game over. So I don’t know what the opportunity would be when you die, since I also cannot seem to buy anything with the money I got (unless I missed that somewhere).

Is it supposed to be that everytime I defeat the trickster I win? I don’t think there are any more bosses, but it feels like I am missing something (since there are so many upgrades I didn’t buy). That aside, really fun game!

With the introduction of the hide from detection system made the game a little too easy and removed the tension a bit as it recharges pretty quick. Overall I enjoyed you game and the minigames worked well, didn’t find any bugs. Solid entry

Really liked the hand drawn art, very charming. Puzzles were nice and I thought it all had a nice flow to it. Great job

I’m glad you enjoyed stacking bodies (I did too). If you like the art style, you should check out Kenney.nl (that’s where I got the art from). I’m sure you’d enjoy the rest of the asset packs there too :D

The required deaths that were need are (unless there are some creative skips I don’t know about): 1 death for level 1 2 deaths for level 2 0 deaths for level 3 1 death for level 4 2 deaths for level 5 0 deaths for level 6 (not really a level, more a playground) So a total of 6 deaths are needed to complete the game.

The deathcounter is I believe a little broken, so it might have caused a bit of confusion. I originally wanted to have the deaths per level saved, so you could see in a level select screen (also not implemented) how well you did and how many deaths you got per level and your total amount of deaths in the last level. I ended up scrapping this, as I planned a little poorly and ran out of time lol

Thanks, I thought so too ;D

Thank you! I’m glad people noticed that small detail :D

Is 2D animation a requirement again or is it also allowed to be 3D? I couldn’t find this in the rules. I’ll try to get a submission up, but no promises lol (don’t have too much time on my hands these next 4 days, I already spent my weekend in another jam lol). I hope 3D is allowed this time as it would be a good excuse for me to dabble into 3D and use blender again.

I feel you on the pogo-ing. From what I can tell the pogo only works on the enemies, when I figured that out things went better. I kept trying to pogo on the ground and it never worked

That’s the power of game jams haha. I hope you consider doing it again, because I enjoyed your submission alot

Very strong submission, I thought the writing and the art were really well done. Good job!

Oh I didn’t realize that I could press R, my bad. I’ll just quickly replay the game (I closed the game to leave a rating lol).

I found the spikes a bit hard to see sometimes and the heart system a little punishing sometimes (I got confused at the end, because the gate didn’t open and I thought I missed something, so I tried dying to float around. What I didn’t realize was that I only had one life left (that’s more my own fault though), so I had to restart). Other than those two minor things, it was good fun and I really liked the art :D

Accidentally softlocked myself lol, I got stuck when I tried to push the block to the vine after I had pushed the block the wrong way on accident.

Thank you! I was aware that it was not the most creative idea ever for this specific theme, as it was the first idea that came to mind haha.

Thank you so much! I’m glad you found some entertainment in my silly little game ;D

:D

I found it actually quite difficult to pick up acorns (and to find them, but once you know what to look for it’s alright. This was my second playtrough.), even while holding shift. Because when you sit on a branch near a couple of acrons, they are out of reach most of the time causing you to akwardly hover near them and spamming e or lmb and hope for the best. But it was kinda fun just flying around when you’re not going for the acorns.

Sorry for the delay, I have sent one back :)

Hello, please let me know if you need me to make a discord account if email is not possible. I’d just prefer if I wouldn’t have to haha.

Oh wow, thank you! You can contact me by sending an email here: blendergreasepenciljam.chamomile508@aleeas.com I would prefer to be contacted there instead of the discord.

Is there a way to reorganize my notes (other than deleting everything, inserting a note and then re-adding the deleted notes)? Not really a big deal or anything, but I think it would be nice (especially when I discover a name number combination and/or discover a full name. Then I would like to have them in numerical order lol).
