I think it would be great if in addition to the tiny order on the side, there would also be the bigger image of the ingredient somewhere on the screen (as you’ve already drawn them for when you first show the ingredient when you unlock it. Might as well repurpose them) to help people. For example people that are color blind or people that don’t have a monitor/display type that can’t display super accurate colors (LCD displays such as TN for example). I felt that some of the ingredients were too similar in color when they were so tiny in the order preview (for example the lettuce and the pickles (D and K) were too similar in color and as they also had the same texture, which would sometimes be difficult to differentiate the two). More negative than that I can’t say about this game as it felt super polished and balanced, music and SFX are awesome. Super fun to play, great job!
Thanks for your feedback! That's a great point about accessibility and color differentiation. A few others have mentioned similar things, about the lettuce and pickles, but also the tomato and red cabbage (red vs purple).
I really liked the 1-pixel-height toppings in the order visualiser, but that does limit the shape variation to distinguish toppings beyond color. You're right though, playability and accessibility should come first; I'll keep that in mind for future games. Thanks again, and I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
