We're looking for volunteers for a 2.5 game with Mega Man 0 like graphics but gameplay inspired by Devil May Cry. Being a fan of those games or familiar with them is a bonus. We have functioning UI+menus and basic gameplay, but no levels and no sound.

For context: The creator of the concept wrote an extremely in-depth universe with concept art and sprites. We're looking for pixel artists to match the style of those sprites. We're hoping to create at least a vertical slice of the universe that can possibly grow into something bigger. Our plan is to make it episodic.

A capture/coup de gra on dead enemies is neat, though I'm having trouble understanding when I can move after a capture or not. I guess it has to do with DEX, since you have up to 3 but can only move twice per turn so sometimes you can do move knife move.

Correct. 0 dex (brought down by enough attacks) on a skin-locked enemy. (Having skin makes you immune to this. This is the disadvantage of cyborgs/skeletons)

Fixed the bug with the high tech button. Also changed the tutorial to be even more segmented in pacing. "Destiny Rush" is out for the normal campaign.

This update brings two difficulty modes with different content.

The easier difficulty has an expanded introduction through the eyes of a recent recruit, and will sequentially introduce the player to each mechanic.

I noticed you commented a year ago on this game.  Latest update uploaded just now, reduces clutter.

Making the tutorial way easier.  The UI is remaining the same for potential mechanics in the future but given an initial tutorial.

New update.

@Federx Your party was probably standing on bridge tiles. They fall down when burned.

Cursor has been changed.

Thank you for noticing, applied a hotfix.

If you're in a battle, you can't move from node to node. The nodes you can travel to are marked with connecting lines. Hope this helps.

Did some write up for the tutorial.

Your skeletons can equip different rib-cages for difference resistances at a machine shop. Some ribs are more vulnerable than others.

Oh this is neat.

Thank you, I want to eventually clarify the concept of the locks more. Both mid-battle and in story.

There's various ways locks can change, certain spells can force unlock and Church Revives toggle all locks.

Req forms are currency on the left side of the UI, you spend at armories.
Last person who play tested beat the last battle without grinding, so I increased the difficulty.
