Yes it's great.

I stumbled upon a question. When using the furtive grasp method, and I roll 5 successes and the enemy has a stenght of 4, it means I can do 4 damage.

How does the work when I fight 2 enemies at once? Each having a stenght of 4?

The way I did it so far was that I can only block 4 damage total and also only inflict 4 damage. That means the other enemy still can inflict 4 damage on me. It's how I died earlier when fighting against 2 foes. I only have 5 HP and no idea how to block the second enemy.

Wow! I cannot believe that I found out about this so late. I immediatly bought a copy. I was talking to a friend, wanting to show her Hollow Hike and suggest we could play that, and instead I found this.

I didn't get around to playing it with my friend, but I read through it and started my own journey to get familiar with it. It added a bunch of new and interesting things to the system. Love all the new items, and the story we can play!

I noticed the text some some minor typos, specifically some spaces were missing between words, e.g. "withits" instead of "with its".

On the story there was one encounter who had a power which requires FP, but had no FP mentions on its sheet at all. Maybe it was forgotten? I finished RN2, so there might be more, or might be none, of these smaller mistakes.

But still, I was really happy to find this. I also printed it and book binded it into a small booklet.

The booklet:

I really enjoyed playing it, I already enjoyed the demo and I was happy when I saw the full release come out!

I had a lot of fun playing it, and love completing it to 100%. I only did one run of it, but saw a randomiser is possible, looking forward to it.

Some Feedback:

I would have loved if I pick up a map, which reveals everything, that it marks it at like 50% opacity if I have not visited it yet. When everything was revealed, I wasn't sure if I have visited it yet or not.

The merchant is nice, but it would have been beneficial if they would talk more to help me progress.

More lore in the game would be nice, too, but it's not that big of a deal.

Placing markers on the map would be useful, too.

SPOILER AHEAD

After I defeated the king I got a key. Usually the map indicates where to use that key, but this time it didn't.

I did find the door and it had the new enemy to defeat, it would have been cool if the merchant would have mentioned something along the lines.

And there is a fishing rod, and I found out where I can cast it, but it never catches anything. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. If the merchant would have said something that would help with getting closer to catching something, that would be helpful. As of now I am stuck with the fishing. Edit: I discovered you need to wear a specific armor piece.

I am missing one piece of shield and armor and I don't know where to look. I have my blue sigil fully leveled, it should reveal all secret rooms, but I only see 10 of 15. It feels like I am missing some information. Edit: I discovered you need to be close to it, for it to be revealed.

I think the merchant could help in many of those steps. Of course don't say it outright, but push to the right direction.

There is an armor piece that removes random encounters, I would love to have one, that increases the % of receiving an encounter. I try to grind my level and run up and down, but the encounter rate seems so low.

I really enjoyed this demo! However, I don't really understand how the blocking/defense mechanism works. That confused me most of the time during playtime.

This game really reminded me of the time when I was playing Grimrock, it really took me back.

At first I was surprised to encounter enemies without seeing them in front of me, but I quickly got used to it. Not so much with the NPCs, I would have preferred to actually see them in front of me, when exploring.

Here is the printed result of it, I wanted to bind it together for easy reading!

Yes, now it is correct!! Thank you so much.

Hi again! Thank you for taking your time. I just downloaded it, and the first page (cover image) does has a white background, but all the remaining pages don't.

Example:

 and so on.

Hello again, just wanted to ask again if you plan on doing that or not, so that I can know if I should wait or not. :) Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out!

The background is not white, but has more of an eggshell color, hex-code is #efebe9

And here is a preview of what it looks like when I want to print it in grayscale:

I hope this clears up what I mean.

The setup looks really fun. I noticed a typo on the last page as well.
> Contrary to popular opnion

I will have to find a group a friends geese to play it with now.

I am slightly confused on how to gather evidence. Since when I am moving away from tiles, I forget them. Which one is true?

  • Is the evidence carried with me all the time?
  • Do I need 3 evidence active at the same time, before the forest shifts and forgets the tiles with the evidence?

I will give it a try, when it comes out. :)

Thanks for all the answers, and so quick as well! Really appreciate it. Looking forward to the update you teased. :) This game really needs a lot of dice.

Something I did was to use the Dice to display the amount of HP, FP and Sunlight Drink.

I am enjoying this little game. I have a few qusestions:

  1. How often can you just run back to the bonfire, to reset the realm and just keep on leveling up? I just ran this with my wife, with me as the GM, and she wanted to grind in the first realm and become OP, lol. That made me wonder if there are any rules for it.
  2. The quality brutal. If a foe is brutal, and has 3 dice, but the hollow has 4 dice. How does that work? Will it just never deal the 10 dmg, because there will always be a left-over dice? In that case, all foes with Brutal are just basic foes, if the hollow is stronger.
  3. Quality volatile. If a foe rolls a 6, it typically automatically deals 1 dmg to the hollow, but what if an item is used to reroll that dice? Will the dmg still count, or is it nullified then?
  4. Secrets Lost Soul and Hidden Cache, if we get that at the Bonfire. Have I been doing it correctly? Since I can always return to the bonfire, I reset the realm each time to collect all the souls/items, which was RN+1

Thank you for this game, it is a lot of fun!

Thanks for making it! Could you create a printer friendly version as well? :) I would love to add it to my physical collection.

Could a printer friendly version be made? the current one has a coloured background, and one with a white one would be great!

I had the same issue. Turns out, I had the Browser Zoom not set to 100%, check your zoom level.

This is such a great game, i really enjoy playing it!
