Hi everyone!
I want to share my current project with the community: The Black Abbey. It is a turn-based medieval horror roguelike deckbuilder where every powerful card corrupts you—both physically and mechanically.
You play as the Fallen Knight, crossing the abbey knowing you won't leave clean. Corruption isn't just a decorative bar here: it rises when you use dark mechanics, altering your appearance, changing your encounters, and completely shifting how the game ends. At 100% Corruption, victory takes a very different shape.
🖤 Key Features:
- Five Resources, No Generic Mana: Energy refills every turn. Blood and Sanity must be rationed. Faith grows if you play clean. Curse never recovers on its own and corrupts you further.
- Fixed Map, Dynamic Runs: The layout is fixed, but the combats, events, and shops change every single time.
- The Content: 109 cards, 25 unique enemies, and 1 final boss (the Crypt Guardian).
- Relics with a Real Cost: No passive is free. Every relic buffs one aspect while worsening another.
- 18 Narrative Events: Branching choices where some doors only open if you are already corrupted enough.
- Custom Pixel Art: Original art for every character, enemy, and background.
🐛 We Need Your Help!
The game is in a state where testing is crucial. Please report any bugs, errors, or balancing issues you encounter! Your feedback will directly shape the next updates.
