Same issue on windows. But until this (wave ~15 I think) the game felt really nice great work :)

Happy to hear that you enjoyed it 😀.
I agree that in a more general way the game could be more "zen" but ending with a messed up planet at the end was part of the original message that I wanted to send. I don't know how to make both ideas work together. Maybe add a "true ending" where you manage to save the planet 👀 ?
Very cool game, I really was surprised by the variety of cards and I love the minimalist pixel art with the limited color palette!
Few things that I think could improve the game: I didn't like the unzooming card because it broke the pixel art and some stuff became hard to see like the life bar :(
I think if we could have somehow a choice to make on cards that we are taking to have more impact on the success of our run.ALso I didn't quite understand the point of merging cards, I was expecting to draw them again but I didn't maybe I missed something.
Anyway this stays a next level submission for a Jam game! Bravo.
Among the Monolyths
Like many others amateur gamedev I have the tendency to never finish my games.
But when I decided to work on a game for my girlfriend's birthday I think the deadline game me extra motivation to wrap it up and have something in time.
For Ludum Dare 49 I decided to completely change the story and improve the graphics and publish it as a game others could play.
You can play the game in your browser here: https://dekajoo.itch.io/among-the-monolyths
The game is about finding how puzzles works in order to heal. It's inspired from the great "The Witness" by Jonathan Blow.
All the graphics, dev, sound design and game design are from me and I MrGrob, a friend, was cool enough to make me a music for the game (Who end up being the best part of this creation)
That's my first published game after many unfinished ones so every feedback is welcome 😃
By the way I loved "Dome Romantik" and I'de be very interested in having your feedback on my JAM game as well : https://dekajoo.itch.io/among-the-monolyths
😀
Great game man, I love the mood it has with the music and all.
And the idea is pretty neat.
I gave it 2 tries but I didn't manage to go past the "wood wall ". Do I need 2 woodcutters ?
Thinking about it 2 farmers seems like a good idea given the balance or ressources.
I'll give in another try later.
Also is this for Ludum dare 49 ? I cannot find it in the Jam section.
EDIT:
So I gave it another try, the "purchase map" feature is a good idea I got baited by going through the woods on the SE. I finally finished barely finished the first level and it was really heart-breaking that I needed to abandon all my caravan behind. Which I think is a success 😀
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it 😊
When you say you fail to understand the puzzle you mean all of them or just certain rules ? I'm interested because I might need to give a little bit more clues on some of them, but not too much because understanding the puzzle rules is part of the gameplay (and it matches the story of having to put back your mind in order)
Amazing game man! Might and Magic + Pixel art is very nice.
Few feedback if you want to work on improving stuff:
* It could be nice to be able to choose between several level of AI. (I'm probably just bad but I got destroyed the 2 games I played :p)
* I think there is bug were I cannot buy a building that requires 4 resources and I have 4 of these resources (It even shows in red) but it works if I have 5.
Man this looks great already, I'm getting Factorio vibes :)
I'm wondering how to make auto-diggers drop items into the pipes ?
Some feedback:
Destroying items with the pickaxe feels a bit weird, and I found myself destroying stuff without wanting to several times.
And the day and night cycle quite short that can be frustrating when you are trying to look at recipes.
Hey 2nd try with the new update now.
I love the fishing mecanic! the bushes and indicator gives a "catch 'em all" vibe that is nice.
The shark is managable but still a threat so that's well done too.
I was expecting to see an indicator when reaching a lighthouse but nothing changed, even tho' I crashed into it (maybe I missed something ?)
One thing that is frustrating when playing a long game (after finally managing to fish stuff an avoid the shark 😅) is that the mosquito indicator can only go up. This act as a "max time" depending on your skill to kill them quickly. Maybe you could make it so killing a mosquito reduce the indicator or eating fish ?
Anyway very cool update 👌
