The scene in the elevator with Cyndi is ... well, it's sort of what this game has instead of a tutorial. Cyndi doesn't play fair, but then, a lot of scenarios throughout the game don't exactly play fair (bearing in mind that mind control is one of the major recurring themes) Your sex in the elevator scene doesn't affect its outcome at all. Sometime your physical sex is important in this game, sometimes not.

However, if you consider sexual orientation to be rigid--well, I won't go into whether I agree or not, but I think that there would definitely be content later that you'd find objectionable, as the game definitely does try to force the players to, ah, bat for both teams from time to time.

Sorry you didn't like it.

Nana always says you're a little late. Don't worry about it. There's no actual penalty for it, she's just being a pain.

Oh good! Glad to hear it.

The achievement checklist is basically the walkthrough. Because there are so many branches, a straight walkthrough wouldn't work, but since thirty-five of the achievements match up with the game endings, the hints on those will tell you how to get there.

Every achievement on the list after "the grass is greener" is an achievement for getting a particular ending, except for the very last one.

There are many tens of thousands of words in this game, and of the ten screenshots I originally took, I somehow managed to take and display one that has one of the game's very few typos.

It's not worth doing a patch just to correct one typo. If you find it, you get a gold star.

It's been suggested that I post a release announcement for my game here, so here it is:

Hotel Eleusis

This is an ADULT game which is not for everybody ... I don't really want to repeat everything that's on the game page here, but this is less "game" than "interactive novel," and less "visual game" than "text game that happens to have illustrations." It also happens to have a lot of weird things buried amid its thirty-five possible endings.

As the page says, "It's an interactive novel for the kind of people who would thumb through Choose Your Own Adventure books trying to find all the bad endings, and who secretly wished those bad endings were maybe just a little kinkier."

The game's listed as free, but I ask for a separate donation (there's a reason for this separation, which I explain on the page).

Here's a screenshot that I didn't use on the game page:
