Thanks you for taking a look at the promo page.
The Working Dead is GM-optional game for 2to 6 Players about organizing a collective bargaining unit of the undead toiling under grimdark capitalism for the God-Lich's war machine.
I made The Working Dead for the June Eternal TTRPG Game Jam.
The goal was to merge elements of grimdark fantasy with the actual process for organizing a union from forming an organizing committee to negotiating a contract.
I also wanted to create game mechanics that I'd never used before.
And ofcourse, it's supposed to be kind of funny.
If you download it, please play it and let me know what you think. I'd love to improve it both as an educational tool, an piece of comedic fiction, and a game.
Thanks,
T.
Very cool! It gets the paleolithic vibe across well and feels like a ritual.
I think Burning Bone could be a fun quick game on it's own, but an even better game to start off a larger story.
Maybe play until the village is destroyed or something else causes a split in the tribe and follow the new off shoot?
Last Solo is a classic example of what a Game Jam game should be:
It conveys the whole process of making a believable world with a neat theme and just enough rules to be an actual game.
Great presentation. I think players of all kinds could build off of The Last Solo or use it as inspiration to add a band mechanic to an existing game.
