Fantastic! Thanks for the compliment!!

Thanks for playing my game!

This was a super simple, very basic, proof of concept game that I put together for the jam, to get me back in the swing of things with coding, git, Unity, and jamming.

You actually played the game in its entirety with the rock and gold responses.

Congrats on getting the gold, and know that every word you wrote was true!

Eeek! That was totally not the intention for you to feel that way, quite the opposite, lol.

Thank you, for trying to play my game. I’ve added the full screen button, so that should help. I had previously omitted this option, because it caused layout difficulties for me in the past, but it seems itch has made updates and it works better now.

The idea of the game is to encourage positivity by scribing a prompted affirmation. The theme of the jam was “scale,” and the Goddess responds with items on the scale accordingly. I enjoy making games with a positivity spin, especially my Go The Distance game: https://debbie-berlin.itch.io/go-the-distance, which has a similar idea of affirmations, and is more fleshed out. I’m looking forward to incorporating some of the read/write IO storage and user input field concepts I learned with this game into my other projects. In addition, I was happy to use one of the models from the newly released Open Source Afro Hair Library, https://www.dove.com/us/en/stories/campaigns/code-my-crown.html, and looking forward to exploring more of their content.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you for trying to play my game. I’ve added a full screen button, so that should help (although the full scale image isn’t yet showing up in frame).

There is a scale on the table in front of the Goddess (see game thumbnail), in line with the theme, but not showing up in this layout.

Love how the music sounds like a cat meowing, adorable.

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I remember seeing this game played lived on the stream, it was really cool, and I like the story dialogue and how there was a secret code word needed. Really thoughtful, good job.

I enjoyed playing this platformer. I like the jump mechanic and how the game got progressively more difficult and how there were hints showing on the screen. And I like that there were checkpoints so you don't have to start from the beginning. Good job!

I really liked playing this game, it was fun trying to figure out how to group the ghosts and place the boundaries so they would go through the gate. It was cool to play and the music in the background was upbeat and fun. Great job!

Great game! I like that there’s two games going on at the same time: the card game and fighting the ghosts. The art and sound and the room décor are very good. Nice job!

Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed playing!!

Thank you!!! Glad you like!

Thank you sooooooo much!!!

I really liked the audio management in this game that allowed the ambient music to be heard from left/right hear, depending on where I was on map. Also really enjoyed the introduction of the storyline by having a voice over narrative.

Hi Mehrdash! Thanks for playing my game and for the feedback! Yes, I used Unity's "Random.Range" function to adjust the movement of the lights: https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Random.Range.html   I'll consider better contrast color choices next time...thanks for the tip!

Nice AI for the enemy. Good job :-)
