A fun platformer with difficult bosses, I like it! I have no real complains about this other then a little lack of polish like the fireballs being backwards or you still reciving knockback dispite having invincblity frames and how It doesn't really follow the constraint. But hey that still doesn't stop this from being a pretty cool game.

I love how you interpeted the stuck in a loop mechanic and the games really fun. I don't think i can fully comment on the poslished mechanincs since I didn't beat it but from what I played it was pretty good, not to mention since it's so simple it's very cohesive. I guess the downsides are the fact that it doesn't really look like an snes game and there weren't that many sounds, but overall its a very good and fun game!
Great game and fits well with the theme, I had fun with the battle system and finding out how to get out of the loop felt sadifying since I figured it out on my own. Not to mention the music (espically the battle theme) being very fitting. My only issue is the lack of polish (that might be due to time constraints which I understand) and the shortness of the game, which I felt could have been combated by adding more NPC (problobly the other students). Also I think the game could have been a bit more direct with telling you, "you need to escape the loop" but that's just a prefrence.
Thanks, Im happy you enjoyed the dialogue and im very aware this doesn't fit into the snes style as much as I hoped, also the honey is ment to make platforming harder so I understand why you would find it bothersome (espically if you got the end of the game). If your having trouble with the game you can die over and over until you get a power up which makes the game easier (read the comment of the game page). But besides that Im very thankful that you enjoyed my game and I hope you get to the end.
The game followed the constraint well and the fact that its a real snes game gets you 5 stars for snes style and sound, my main issue is the lack of polish and how even though the game loops thats all it does. But this game does have the potiential to be a full snes game like mega man or caslevania,I can absolutly see that so keep working at it. :D
This is problobly the most polished game in the jam because it's so simple, and that's not a bad thing it really works for the game. there's not much for me to say besides it's a really fun game and I feel like the normal mode should have had some type of challange like i timer, because as it is right now the normal mode and easy mode kind of blend in.
I LOVE this game idea, its so simple yet so smart at the same time. Playing the same level over and over again but with diffrent restrictions that carry onto the next loop. And even thought the game is hard its fun, so it keeps you coming back for more (I also made a difficult game so I can relate =D). The only thing I can critizes is that it really does feel more like a mobile game then a snes game but besides its fun.
This is a very polished and unique game experience, something I can really imagine being on the snes, It follows the constraint perfectly in my opinion. I have no real issues with it besides not having as many sounds for the atmosphere that i hoped for (which is just a me thing) and the lack of direction (but that's just par for the course when your making this type of game)
Im happy you enjoyed they game, and like the character designs and you are 100% right when you say it feel more like an NES game since I'm not an artist and I didn't have time to make cutscenes. As for the difficulty yeah I designed the game so it was next to impossble to beat without dying so you would see the them in the jam. As for the physics that's not a bug that actually a feature, your standing in maple but since the sfx for the maple is hard to hear I understand why you though that. I appreciate your feedback and i'll take it into consideration, I'll update the game later today because the dialogue isn't complete and when I do I hope you try it again. (THANKS FOR PLAYING :D)
Amazing game; needs a little more testing, I didn't know that I had to defeat all enemies to progress and this might just be me but I found blocking to be kinda pointless when you can already dash through enemies. the game sadly doesn't run very well on web and like others have said the environments do look simallar. But the gameplay is great the feel is Amazing, the music is awesome, and the art is SO smooth.
Edit: sorry I acedently named it ver 1.3 instead of 1.2
also here are the changes:
1. the convo system has been completely over hauled to be a dictonary with multiple convo instances (it may seem more complicated but it will make adding multiple instances a lot easier)
2. the dialogue area has been striped down to only have the convo and debug (in retrospect it was kinda silly to give the dialogue area so many options when its really best suited for stadic dialogue)
3. I cleaned up a lot of the original code but added a lot of new variables due to complications with the new convo system.

simple yet very fun!, I love the art and how the background turns to whichever direction your going. my only complaint is that when you die there not really a game over screen jut the blank godot background, also there has to be an indicator for when that monster comes, incased I missed it it seems like they come out of no where.
