Yay! Can't wait to play it. It has so much potential --you're a genius.

Please add local 2P (even just let player 2 control the enemies would be enough).

Being able to use long distance pieces to quickly invade the opponent's territory and win makes the game a little too easy IMO. Powerful pieces should count as LESS in the opponent's territory, because it is EASY to get them to the other side. Weak pieces like the pawns should count as more. Also, permanent death of pieces that got smashed in the last match might add more balance.

Would you consider sharing the project on Github? I'm really addicted to it ATM and I want to contribute if possible.

Can't believe this was for a game jam. Amazing polish and playability.

For a game jam game... just incredible. Attractive visuals, well-designed interface, and most importantly FUN. I see why it was in the top 3.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree. We spent half the time deciding on whose design idea to develop. In the end we went with an RPG, which was way too ambitious for a first team & first jam... But everyone worked hard so it was a great learning experience.

Thanks for stopping by! Yeah it was the first jam for all of us.

The core game mechanic is petting cats to make them purr which generates positive energy. Genius. I found the actual gameplay frustrating because the cats kept moving away randomly and I got stuck in -25 energy. Overall, great design and execution. Thanks!

The timing based jump mechanic is great! As is the "code words" idea. Really makes you feel like you are immersed in a cartoon cat world. However, not being able to move during the jump is a game breaker to me. Maybe it was a design choice, but fixing that would give the player more agency and make the game way more fun. Great job overall.
