After a full galaxy 1-4 playthough of 0.35 on a Steam Deck, the only notable bug I found is that the playable Flux Bee monster girl's electric attack "Electric Sting" always does 0 damage (even under the "Inductive Pollen" effect).
Things I really like about the beta thus far:
- The graphics and the writing/grammar/editing have both really improved since Para Ark 1.
- The ability to buy CG keys for missed CG's is also a good quality-of-life feature.
- The vore moves allow you essentially capture/convert monster girls (i.e. non-synth/human characters) without needing to track down a male monster of that type.
- Spaceship combat and on-world resource gathering have been streamlined, with resources now beamed directly to your inventory.
- Higher-tier equipment/field deployables are available from the Space Store. This allows you to avoid backtracking if you're willing to spend the money for a handful of nice generators when visiting a new planet.
Suggestions/Things I felt were missing:
- Give Freya "human"-type skills. In Para Ark 1, human characters had combat skills that fit their roles. Freya has the standard allotment of sex skills and the ability to equip human weapons, but no other "special" category skills.
- Implement a way for monster girl characters to gain initial XP quickly. In PA1, eggs could be used to gain a small amount of XP; this helped new level 1 characters get past level 1 and be useful without needing to level grind for every new character.
- Implement a monster girl/resource location list. This was my favorite quality-of-life feature from PA1, and let me track down missing characters or resources.
- Very many monster girl Special/non-sex-based skills are TP-based or require TP AND also SP. Since TP starts up from zero and resets between fights, this can limit combat options for several turns unless characters intentionally spam "Guard" to gain enough TP...dragging out fights.
I am looking forward for more of Freya (and Sasha's) adventures!
