Honestly wherever life takes you I will 100% support your future work even if that means we don't get to see any more NSFW content and/or continuation of Gain Factory. I just wanted to ask because Gain Factory Reloaded kind of came out of the blue (not a complaint it was a really good update all around) and sometimes I check on here to see if there's been any updates. In the chance you do create Gain Factory 2 I would really like to see a blueprint feature because that's the only thing I think is missing from Gain Factory Reloaded, but if life works out differently that's great too.

If you do plan on releasing any games on Steam I 100% intend to buy them even if they aren't Gain Factory related.

I think Space + Left Click but it's been a hot minute since I've played

I noticed that there's been a few bug fixes recently. Are there plans to continue work on Gain Factory or is it basically finished besides bug fixes here & there?

I think you can shoot the developer a message on Discord (kittykillerkuriosity) and upload it there. i know they were looking for a save file to look into

I think you can only make that item in the furnace and it the dev accidently marked that you can hand craft it

I know it's been 3 days but did you figure out the issue? Like you said it's probably one of the arms

Yeah I would do what kurrosity said. You should have the cooling fan adjacent to the building. You have to ctrl+click (i'm not sure if this is correct, it's been a few months since i've played) the inspector panel for it to work properly (foods have a certain temperature range where they can be created in, if it's too low or too high the food isn't made).

If you still need help just lmk and I'll redownload the game and send you more instructions. Like I said, it's been a hot minute since I've played Gain Factory so sorry if my instructions were ass

can you send a picture of your setup?

What about them do you need help with? You also need to use a inspector's panel to set the temperature you want

Was reading the comments and realized there's no NSFW disclaimer on the game. I think it'd be as easy as just tagging the game as 18+ so people get a disclaimer.

This is one of the better clicker incremental games I've played even though it's a bit short. Everything felt reasonably balanced and I liked the achievement feature.

Wish there was more content but that's really it other than a tiny nitpick with having to scroll all the way down to upgrade then having to scroll back up to look at her

So there wouldn't be any videos about the game itself, but there's definitely videos about the concept of logic gates. How you implement them into your game I honestly don't really know I have to play more

(1 edit)

Honestly, I haven't used logic components in my game, with the closest being the information panels to determine when to turn on/off a cooling fan.
Edit: If you want to learn more about logic components you should look up youtube videos about them, but I'd say the average player doesn't need to use them for a playthrough.

I was thinking of other suggestions, and I think this suggestion might be a good idea(?).

In my playthroughs of the game, I realized you could just upgrade one of the surrogates a bunch and basically have an infinite supply of credits to do anything with. I think a way to stop this is by having two separate credit types: Individual Credits and Station Credits.

Individual Credits and Station Credits are earned through the same way (making babies lol), but individual credits only work for that specific surrogate (meaning you can only use those credits to buy upgrades for that specific surrogate). Station Credits can be used for other things around the ship (if there's anything that takes credits that isn't surrogate-specific, like purchasing new surrogates).

There could also be an exchange rate between the two types of credits.

Sorry can you ask the question again.

If you're wondering what to do at the beginning I would say try to automate basic crafting materials.

This might already be planned, but a feature that shows if a surrogate likes a food if they've already eaten it before would be nice. Would definitely help when you have more surrogates available so you don't have to remember each one's favorite meals.

Here's a (non-comprehensive) list of several food items I found

Fruitroll - Sweetdough + Bogglefruit

Phytoid Steak - Fruitroll + Inkilian Filet [JESS FAVORITE]

Mixed Salad - Bogglefruit + Inkilian Filet

Bogglefruit Soup - Bogglefruit + Mixed Salad

XLT Sandwich - Inkilian Filet + Sweetdough

Omniversal Bagel - XLT Sandwich + Fruitroll

Tentaglizzy - XLT Sandwich + Inkilian Filet [LUCI FAVORITE]

Breakfast Sliders - Bogglefruit + XLT Sandwich [RHODIA FAVORITE]

Spore Gelato - Sweetdough + Mixed Salad

Solar Dip Sauce - Sweetdough + Fruitroll

Striped Wrap - XLT Sandwich + Mixed Salad

Also, may have found a bug where Luci's mud medical status doesn't occur. It happened to me in a separate save file but didn't occur in my latest one. Not sure if this is intentional.

Not much into pregnancy myself (more on the weight gain side of games), but this is really good. Hope to see more content for this game. I have some suggestions but I'm pretty sure most will be added/addressed at some point

So it's a bit complicated.

You will need

  • 1 Glowy Transistor
  • 2 Scrap Metal
  • 1 Heavy Cog
  • 1 Creamy Concrete
    • You will need milk for this.
  • 1 Tungsten
    • Place a yeast bomb next to a tungsten ore node. Activate the yeast bomb by placing an item wherever you put the source coordinates are or turning on a button/lever where the coordinates are.

Honestly really good to see a new update for this game.

Haven't played it in a solid minute (currently playing Factorio Space Age), but great to see that this gem is still getting attention

From my experiences, long distance funnels are very useful for long distances while hovering hands are VERY useful for shorter distances. I always try to use a bare minimum of conveyors, only really using them to input items at certain speeds due to the lag several items can cause.

This literally just happened to me, but I experienced a bug where when I tried to open the book it showed the default_0 sprite sheet at the top right. I closed the game and reopened it and the bug went away but I reloaded it before I experienced the bug. Not too sure what I did, also I did not change any of the sprite sheets.

I think the nuclear reactor constantly consumes fuel as it allows for you to produce plutonium at a predictable rate. If it only consumed fuel when it needed to then the plutonium production would vary by factory.

The Sterling Engine ONLY produces energy so it only consumes fuel when it needs to.

Alright so it's pretty complicated and it's definitely late game, so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

  • You need a reliable way to constantly make Dripping Honeycomb
  • You need a way to constantly make Fission Nukes.
  • You need to launch the fission nukes from a rocket silo to the dripping honeycomb to make the graphene.

I still haven't played that much and need to figure out this setup more.

So basically you first have to make a food that does not use any milk. For example: Sweet Potato Fries. They only require oil and potato and have a small, but still decent, amount of nutrition value. After this, you can receive some milk from a cowgirl.

It's all good - I'm also curious to see what type of mods some people make to the game too

I think you mentioned posting the source code a while ago, will the source code be uploaded? Only reason I'm asking is to see if I can go in the code and find the values for how long it takes items to be crafted and doing them individually like I did a while ago was a bit annoying.

Clockwork Wrenches basically limit the amount of items that go into a machine. They're useful for items that have similar crafting recipes to other items so that you don't put in too many items.

It's kind of hard to explain but basically they aren't used in any crafting recipe which makes them somewhat useful (but I usually just insert silicon rock because 99% of the food crafting recipes don't use them)

Yeah that makes total sense - especially since this game is free.

Yeah I honestly gotta admit that having blueprints you can create and place down would be a game changer. I think the only annoying part of Gain Factory is when I'm making a huge farm and I have to place every part individually over and over, but I don't know what engine it's running on so I honestly don't know if it's even possible to do this.

Huge W. I never incorporated long distance funnels in any of my saves because they were very annoying to deal with so I just used hovering hands, but I'll check them out now. Also great that funnels have been optimized even more than they already have been.

Here's my setup for Yeast/Pumpkin. It's pretty similar to my earlier setup.\

The only thing you might want to change for you design is the amount of mixers/crushers you place. If you have a large farm then I suggest to place down multiple.

Yeah I've been using a lot of hovering hands and iron chests instead of conveyor belts. Some of my earlier saves used mostly conveyor belts, and I had some performance issues. This was before the Bee Update but I'm assuming some of the issues would still be there.

I also have a design for pumpkins/yeast that y'all can use I just have to build it first.

Here's a really good setup for all farmable items (excluding yeast/pumpkins) I've been using that reduces lag by a lot. It's repeatable as well (you can make it longer).

Basically what happens is the item automatically goes into an iron chest. It doesn't create an item in the world so it reduces lag by a lot. The only thing you need to make sure you do is place the filter funnels in the right order. If you place the funnel going from an iron chest to another iron chest before you place the funnels that go from an iron chest to a planter, it skips the planter. I'll definitely post more setups I've just been busy with school. Haven't really experimented that much with the new items but definitely will when I get the time.

I don't think there are any walkthroughs, but I suggest looking at the game's page on Weight Gaming for any help. I can also help if you need any guidance on what to do next.

Oh my bad, yeah like how Misha said you need to have it be triggered by a source (Ctrl+LMB). Something has to be at the source (such as an item or a lever in the on position). Things are mostly the same for the fission bomb iirc.

Just place the yeast bomb right next to a tungsten node and detonate it. You should get 2 Tungsten from it.
