Finished in 20 minutes   had fun though, definitely has some potential

Due to some stuff, I have to delay this project for a while. It's almost ready, but I have to take care of a bunch of other things :)

Hey Kenny! I remember the voiceover livestream. I completely forgot about this project :D Nice to see it again!

Alright, thanks everyone! I made some post-jam preparations. Giving myself two months after the jam to make it happen. Fingers crossed

Alright, got the third one without the gun. I thought there will also be the fourth ending when you shoot the cultist in the back. Still liked it!

Man, I love Point&Click games. I slapped myself in the face when I accidentally clicked the drawer to get the bear spray, because I couldn't find anything else I could do. How many endings are there? I only got two of them. It said I didn't get the best ending, so it's gonna take a while :D

Ha! Thanks, but remember to throw food at them instead once it's all over :D/

Thanks! In the post-jam release, multikills will have their own indicators (double/triple/quadra/penta kill), which will be a part of the current session tasks. Hopefully even more to come!

Are those supposed to be the clips for javid's video or it's just a collection of everyone's gameplays?

- If it's for the video, javid said the clips have to be around 20-30s, no music if possible, so he doesn't need to verify the source, even if you use CC0 resources (avoiding potential dmca strikes), unless you own them or you are the creator and give him the permission to use your content. It should be something in a form of a trailer: title screen, interesting gameplay or something you want to show off

- if it's a collection of videos from this jam, you can make a list of links in your main post in a format like:

Thanks, I'm aware of the style differences, I used assets from other games I have scrapped, these are just temporary assets for the jam, they will be changed to pixel art after the rating period is over. The only asset that I made specifically for this jam was actually the bird.

About the panic atmosphere, when you are trying to focus on killing the birds as fast as you can and you have 5-7 seconds until they start pooping, the game starts being really stressful when you reach the maximum speed (500 kills) and you are playing on Hardcore mode - the birds appear, you miss them once, twice, then you can't keep track of which bird appeared first. I think that turned out really great.

I made the bird's spritesheet by looking at the reference to not just copy someone's work.

Here's the comparison, my first spritesheet drawing attempt https://i.imgur.com/WsNv8xu.gifv

The reference on the left is really smooth, mine doesn't look that great, the legs are totally messed up, but I think it's fine for the first try, I really rushed this one. Looks more like a penguin. I hope my next attempt will be way better. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks! I wasn't entirely sure if it fits the theme, but it can at least beat the boredom if you play for a while, just to beat your scores

Thank you! The most satisfying is the moment when you kind of learn the timing and manage to hit the birds when they dive. They sometimes get thrown off the screen when hit from very close distance, silly but pretty funny :D/

Thanks! I can't stop playing it myself. I hope to make it even more fun after the jam is finished

Glad you liked it, I will definitely update the game after the rating period.

The ding sound and a soap pickup was a last-second update, that was pretty important :D

This is a really nice entry, a speedrunner potential

It would actually be fun if the game was faster and had lots of enemies to jump on! Cool concept I guess

Nice, you can also play with just the mouse. You could make the enemies spawn meanwhile or start a new level with faster enemies.

The music is also nice 👍

It's actually nice for your first game. Just needs some sounds/music and character tuning.

Alright, first to get to the last breed wins a cookie! =D

Wait, there are 32 or 64 breeds?

You mean I have to combine 2^32 chickens? :D

That's a nice and relaxing time-killer.  Something different after spending a lot of time on minecraft farms :D I'm a bit sad there was no time to add the music. I assume there's a plot twist, the enemies actually want a hug, they don't want to fight, that's too cute! The doggo too!

Sadly, lost my progress, the game just froze while picking carrots =[

The mosst bizarre experience if you ask me. I mosst explore more of that

I think it would be better if you could use mouse scroll to select items from the bar. Also, diagonal movement would be highly appreciated! :D

Health regeneration would also be nice, at least when you are full. Nice survival concept, though. Not an average lost-in-the-forest :D

Knight: Pause, please!

You: Don't tell me what to do!

This is great, I like the art. You know what? Looking at the art style I think you might try to change everything to look as it was drawn on paper, that's the feel I kinda got from the first impression. Yes, there were some inaccuracies, not a big deal, though. The slash indicator image was missing sometimes (layer problems I guess).

This is really cool. At first I thought you have to type your name, took a moment to realize that you have to move with the commands.

The sounds are too loud IMO, but it's fine. I expected a RUN command or FASTER, the character is a bit too slow. I also liked when the grass sarted to move while walking through it.

It would also be great with complex levels! :D

Thumbs up! The enemies have the same speed on Y-axis, so you might want to make a square playfield since there is less distance to the player - if the enemies would be faster on hgiher levels.

It's really nice if it's your first game!

It's nice, but as already mentioned, it's more about trying to get the food. It takes a decent amount of tries, getting a little tough when the virus starts to replicate.

I like the idea, but I think the spawn rate is too low - I know the rates are lower over time, but I had almost no spawns on the 7th level, so it was really hard, but I liked it :D

I agree, that's why I added "Hardcore" mode where it's more likely to end the game faster, but actually, after spending enough time in the game, my single play extended to a maximum of 25 minutes, so cutting the HP in half would be a good idea.

Originally I wanted it to be endless like Icy Tower, there's no dead end in that game until you make a mistake, but I had to make a quick decision for this jam. It will change of course, in a couple weeks. There will be a timed mode and endless, but I need to come up with an idea for a losing condition then.

We'll see, thanks for playing!

Thank you! It's already there on my mini-tasks list =]

Thanks! Haha, that's too much for a simple game :D thanks for playing though!

Thanks! I have something similar on the list in a form of timed powerups like auto-return, bounce to the nearest bird, etc. but it's too late for updates

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind, it would be tough to convert to mobile, though. Maybe, some day :)

Thank you! There was more stuff on the list, but I did not have enough time to add everything  :(

Now I know how it feels to be the Spiderman.

I mean, the Frogman!

I would also like to know, I have a full gameplay on my submission page, not sure if that's sufficient or we have to record a new video and post it here.

This is great, I can see this one in the top #3 of this Jam. Would also be great with online ranking :D/

Endless runners are always nice

Damn that last level! :D took like 30 tries

Not sure if it's intended, but you can stick to the walls, probably unintended. Also the double jump off the stairs was a problem for me in my previous games.

Really nice entry

This needs a boss battle! or more levels at least :D

Thumbs up from me

A bit too short, but it has potential for a good survival shooter!

You could make the character look at the pointer, so it's easier to shoot or possibly shoot directly at the mouse. Might be just me, but I think the character is way too fast.
