I've been making Retro Empire on my own for a while, and the demo is finally public.

It's a first-person sim where you run a small second-hand game shop. People around town sell you their old consoles and games, usually filthy and sometimes broken. You clean them up on your workbench, open them up when they won't turn on, and put them on the shelf.

The demo is the shop's first five days, roughly an hour. One of the three handhelds you start with won't boot. From day two, customers start bringing in their own broken stuff. And there's a used arcade cabinet with a dead board that you can fix and then play.

It runs on Windows and Linux, in English and Spanish, and works with a controller.
