Appreciate the write up, no need to apologise!

Instead of trying to be everything to everyone it should have been one specific thing.

100%. This is definitely the crux of the issue I had with the end result. My first draft was much shorter and had none of the attempted customisation elements. Think I got carried away with the idea that it would then be too niche.

> As of right now the motive to enter the labyrinth is nonexistent and the reward for escaping is nothing

True, there are some hints at the motives but it's not explicit. Rewards are left out because of the system agnostic element, but agree that both should have at least been called out, given that it's meant to ultimately be more of a guide.

I would be annoyed by having to find a guy who is not at his desk because I could be doing tournament stuff right now.

Appreciate this might be controversial, but it being a little 'rage-batey' is intended, though it's certainly not suitable for all tables! I might need to do more to put that info upfront.

Very grateful that you took the time to put some comments in, most of what I've seen so far as been from the DM angle so your player perspective was very useful. Oh and I'll be sure to check out Noradz!

Love the feedback, thanks so much for your time!

Hey folks!

I recently published my first project as a hobbyist. I've been a long time fan of TTRPG content and I'd love to get better at it. To that end, I figure the only way to get better at this stuff is to actually get some stuff out there and try and get some feedback.

In terms of targeted feedback, anything on writing, layout or ideally how useable this actually this for people running games. But frankly, I'll take whatever feedback I can get!

Don't be put off by the MS Paint job, I assure you it's deliberate (and I'm crap at drawing).

Thanks all

Hey folks!

Long time player / hobbyist of RPGs, and first time publisher here on itch. After a great session I ran with some friends, I decided to try and create a short, customisable supplement that was system agnostic so that others could recreate that experience for themselves.

What is out to lunch?

Out to Lunch is a customisable, system-agnostic guide for GMs to guide them through creating a single-session, bureaucratic nightmare for their players to “enjoy”.

In a session of Out to Lunch, players are enticed to visit a fantastically interesting location of your choosing where, as it turns out, things really are too good to be true. By the time they realise this and make to leave, they will discover a never-ending series of bureaucratic hoops to jump through first, and whenever they need someone to help - they're always out to lunch!

As a first time creator, I would absolutely love to hear any and all feedback. Thanks folks!
