I saw a video with this game a while ago and was unable to find it. I just saw a video (may have even been the same one) and went looking again. Their are a lot of games called The Gate on itch and oddly enough yours isn't listed. I found you by your username but again The gate was still not listed. It wasn't until I selected your username and showed everything that I was able to find it. I hope you can find a way to make this game easier to find as it is very interesting and lots of people should play it.

You are a very bad person jotd666 (perhaps the 666 should have given it away) Not many people have a joystick that can handle the punishment these types of games require. Back in the day the old Atari joysticks wouldn't last long under the pressure and I should have been a millionaire with the amount I fixed. The good news is I have a Tac-2 that is perfect for this and zombie outbreaks.

On a serious note game looks great, well done.

How about DFA (death from above) land on a human splat, land on a mech depending on damage, additional damage or complete destruction Yay!

Here after seeing this on YT Saberman RetroNews and playing the PC original. I'm not much of a puzzle person normally (although Sokoban is my weakness) but very enjoyable.

That's cool, Will you be utilizing multiple joystick/pad buttons maybe even the CD32 controller? I see you are not accepting donations yet, will you be doing so at a later update (I don't have much but I'm all for throwing a few bucks in) Looking forward to updates.

Looks like its going to be fun (big stompy mech fan). if you are up for a couple of things that could take it to the next level I have suggestions 1, When walking up a ramp change the shooting to follow that angle until the guns shooting level reaches the top of the ramp (I know lots of games don't do that, but it has always bothered me as to why you would shoot the ramp because you can't shoot anything else) 2, Addition of a melee weapon (sword?) when in range automatically switch to a physical weapon (I think it would look cool) maybe even chop the enemy in half. Anyway, looking forward to a more complete game.

Don't tell me what to do! TURNING VOLUME UP!

Hopefully I'm going to get my A1200 with the TF1260 out next week (currently I'm rearranging and the Amiga has been placed into a safe location) and give it a try.

Anyone test it on an 060 yet?

How did I miss that this got a full release. Well done.

Get to feeling better. I'll wait :-)

You mean it won't crack my screen after repeatedly smacking against it? It won't give me a black eye/knock out teeth with a sucker Boing (punch)? But it will put a smile on my face :-)

Pity that you have no intention of completing it. This is something I would like to have spent some time with.

Good luck with future projects.

Some serious amount of work has happened since the last time I took a look at this project. Well done and look forward to seeing the end result.

What file are you using?

Ambermoon.net goes to a domain parked site :-/

One of the best SHMUPS (maybe the best) on the Amiga "Apidya II" the sequel to ..... nothing lol

Amiga Space, has a nice ring to it! but you can't hear that ring :-(

What system specs are required for this.

(1 edit)

Game mechanics look good, the graphics are great. Will there be in game music?

I didn't watch the demo to the end, as once I decide I would like to play there are more surprises.

Is this project dead

This looks really interesting. I'm looking forward to a full release so that I can further show my appreciation.

Kung Fu Master is a game I have a lot of fond memories of, so I am looking forward to it. Will there be an option to play with arcade type graphics for authenticity?
