Hello, I'm a new player, I loved watching Joel play, and I'm having a go myself now. The main game is so scary so I'm starting on Ambience. So this is the playthrough I'm commenting on.

First - I love the new base, there's so much to do and explore, and I'm starting to feel at home in it.

I'm encountering continual problems opening the fridge and freezer in the bedroom/kitchen. I think it is because the hinge of the fridge door keeps crashing against the wall, but I am not totally sure. It makes it a bit of a pain to store food in there.

A visual bug that doesn't really matter but thought I would mention - if you stack lots of trash (the kind that can be put in garbage bags) up on each other, and then bag up garbage from the middle, the trash that was on top floats there.

I would love if Ambience mode continued to require fixes of equipment like servers and transformers, or at least had the option to do so, since the upkeep is part of the fun and not the spooky. (It seems at present we only need to check the tower and not server pings or transformer upkeep).

On the topic of the spooky, I'm not sure what it is because I haven't yet go the guts to go and see, but I'm getting an enemy-coloured ping on my radar on the edge of the map on Ambience mode - which often stays there day and night, sometimes coming a little closer. Since it's only one, I actually don't mind, as it brings a little threat to the game without being overwhelming, but just in case it wasn't intentional, I thought I would flag it.

Another thing is, on Ambience mode, you still have nightmares. I don't mind them, and I've seen most of them from Joel's playthrough, so am not concerned by them, but for a 'less scary' mode, you may wish to consider removing them, I'm not sure.

When it says 'scary signals disabled' for this mode, is this just plot based ones, because personally I wouldn't mind receiving more unusual deep space signals. It is the threat from the immediate environment that I need lowered rather than the interesting signals that I pick up. Perhaps, in future, we could maybe customise the mode a little more, for a tailored user experience? Like I would like to turn on server and transformer upkeep and scary signals, but keep the environmental threat at a minimum.

P.S. Do we get Maxwell on Ambience mode? I don't see an error code, but neither do I see 'activated' in the server log.

Edit: I forgot to mention - when there is fog outside, it leaks into the base even if all the doors are closed. At first I thought there was a fire somewhere and the base was filling with smoke.
