Very nice game!

Thanks!

So you are saying you don't like meta-progression, I understand that, I'm not a huge fan of it either. Glad you liked it!

thank you!

Hi all! I just released my first game - Orbital Defense Program.

The game is focused on a cannon that orbits earth. You have to manage your resources in order to improve your defenses by upgrading various functions.

You can use modules to defend the Earth, which are either passive (e.g. more cannons) or active (e.g. targetable missiles). The idea is to customize your strategy depending on your prefered style of play.

There are also random and non-random events that happen between waves, which give you access to improvements and additional modules.

You can try out the game here (it's completely free):

It's playable on browser only for now, I may also upload a windows build eventually.

Thanks for the support, I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you!

Orbital Defense Program is a tower-defense game with some roguelike elements.

You play as the Commander of the ODP, and your objective is to protect the earth against an alien invasion, by allocating resources to upgrade the functions of the ODP, making strategic decisions and executing some actions in real time. The main means of defense is the Orbital Cannon, which fires automatically at aliens.

This is the release of the demo version with:

  • 15 waves.
  • 4 alien ship types
  • 10 Unique events
  • 8 available modules
  • 10 available upgrades

The composition of the waves, number of aliens and some of the events are randomised for each run. In the future I plan to add even more variety of options, in order to make each run a different experience.

Hi, I love these backgrounds, but I don't see any license info. Can I use them for a commercial game, provided I give you attribution?
