I don't have a story or anything ready for this jam yet, but I am working on it. Working with someone to make some music for the game would be great! Your music is really great!

What is the license for this? Can it be used commercially?

once in the ship, talk to the npcs on top of the planets. The planets have no collisions because the game is 3d but made in a 2d engine (GDevelop)

what part did you reach? To progress into the game, you need to listen to all 3 npcs dialogue on all 3 planets, the full way through. If you are talking about the game freezing when talking to the robot (astra), this is just a bug that I was not allowed to fix due to the rules of another jam. However after this there is just a little epilogue scene which is currently inaccessible.

thanks! I tried really hard to get the skyboxes to look nice.

thanks!

What do you mean "live in 2 dimensions"?

Really cool game! Only problem I found is that after I died and went back to the main menu, I started a new game and three different music tracks played overlapping at the same time. Besides that though, nice take on tower defense, was very fun!

Nice! That's a really cool solution. Already rated, your game is really great. Good luck! You'll definitely be close to the top.

Thanks!

Really cool! Loved the reflections.

cool story, pretty fun game, graphics are nice, really liked the intro, but the game gets boring pretty quickly.

Absolutely incredible! How did you do those 3D cutscenes? Great job, loved the game, loved the graphics, loved the writing.

This is absolutely amazing! It's incredible that you made this in just 9 days! I really love the writing, and your use of 3D is incredible! I really want to know how you did the 3D cutscene in the intro.. The only thing I'd really improve is maybe adding a feature where you can move around the camera.

why would you do this...

This game is really, really good. The art is beautiful, the music was excellent, and the voice-overs were also quite nice. One thing that would have improved this (and this doesn't even really have to do with the game) would be to put that PLEASE READ and all the stuff about the browser window size, at the start of the game, or at least on this submission page. It seems like a few of the people in these comments didn't get to enjoy the game because of the low frame rates in the full-size web version. Another thing you could do is, you know, fix that.  But besides all these things great game, graphics good, everything smooth and fluid, shooting feels really nice and satisfying, good job!

Thanks!

Your game looks amazing! I didn't get very far (I suck at video games..) but the visuals were very, very good, love the style. It also fits the theme (of the jam, and of your game) very well. You deserve to win the jam, great job.

Your game was fun, but here are the things I would improve:

  • The Ending was very abrupt, I would have liked to see the raft built and then have to walk onto it to begin the ending cutscene.
  • I would have liked to see a progress bar above the raft showing you how close you were to finishing it. Having just 3 stages on the 3D model of the raft simply isn't enough. If you could see a percentage or even just a filled-in bar of how far in you are, it would make the gameplay slightly more exciting and give more "hope" to the player that they will be off the island soon.
  • The player model animations are very weird when you're walking in any direction other than forwards. If you could make it so the character faces the direction their walking, that would make this game a lot better.

Besides these, I actually really enjoyed your game, and I think it (and you) have a lot of potential to make even bigger, better games!

Thanks for your feedback! What you played is the entire game, unfortunately (I was rushed and only had 4 hours to work on the game), however, I am planning on updating it with more content in the near future. Your game is impressive, rated it 5 stars, such a cool concept, executed really well, and a really fun game to play.

(1 edit)

Thanks so much! Your game is incredible! I dream of one day being able to create a game like yours for a gamejam!

Thanks so much! I realized (after voting started) that I forgot to add in the main mechanic of the game, which was supposed to be the ability to hold B and then the world around you would slightly change (eg some platforms would appear, and some might disappear.) Thanks so much for your feedback, this is my first jam, and I'm really happy I was able to release something.

great cute game, but one small problem for me is as soon as I get to the seen where the "cooking music" is supposed to start playing the game just crashes. This has happened twice. (Also I'm on mac)

incredible game, loved that ending, what a twist! Also, can we just talk about the music? The music in this game is just incredible...

Cool! I'm looking forward to it!

What a small and wonderful game! I love the 3D graphics, they are very pretty. I would love to see more of this game/style of game in the future! I guess we know who's winning the jam!

This game is so good! I love the music, and the graphics, and everything about it! Great job!

why did I find this under "Games made with GB Studio"? It's clearly not.

I was excited to use this... but it no longer works on mac...

this game fun! Please finish it!

It's good, the gameplay is a bit boring, but it's a fun game!

Seriously, what went through your mind when making this! It's so good! It really makes me think about what blocks I need to break, and which ones will get me stuck. There are many times where I get stuck in it and don't know what to do, but that music pulls me in, and keeps me in the game! Awesome game!
