You are right! Thanks for the heads-up.

Thank you for the heads-up!

I really encourage you to visit our discord, where the “big stuff” is.

Hi. There are others projects for PC, like arcade time machine.

Thpse cabinets are made by the discord community. I would suggest to go to discord and ask for the cabinets that you want. The link is in the AGE of joy main page, here in itchio.

Thank you!

About the snap turning is already registered for future improvement. To have working vending machines is a nice idea. I will register it for the future too. it takes some time to load the cabinets every time i enter a specific room, Maybe there is a way to implement some database solution when you enter a room that you have never entered before, the game assigns cabinets that aren’t assigned to other rooms. If you don’t have anyone available, you can assign cabinets manually and repeat those already assigned to other rooms. Next time the game will remember the assigned cabinets for the room. If you need more assistance, please join us on Discord There are people working on cabinets all the time.

The game was originally designed for Q2 and at the moment there’s no way to change the resolution. Of course will eventually evolve to play it in Q3 in the future.

Hi. Thank you.

We already talked about mixed reality in the discord group. TBH, age of joy is a diferent type of game, the goal is to simulate an arcade gallery. A game where you can install cabinets in your house is a good idea for a new game.

May be in a future.

I will!

Thank you. I already registered the first two to be made in the future. BTW are you in discord? there are a interesting community there.

The dip switch controls are part of MAME. Can’t help you there, but maybe you can ask in the discord server, the community knows how to do it.

At this time, the only way to change the player’s height is to change the Accessibility options in the Quest settings. AGE comes with two shaders, more to come in the future. You can configure them by first reading the documentation on the wiki page. But there are not many variables to modify at the moment. Join Discord for more information.

You can get a lot of help and support in discord.

You need to own mame compatible roms to play games.

Hey! sorry for the delay in the response, question like this one moves faster on the Discord community: https://discord.com/invite/b83ykCM9Xp.

Before creating a new cabinet, you could check on Discord or the database if the cabinet doesn’t exist yet. If not you can proceed to create a new one.

If the cabinet don’t appear in the workshop, may be is a problem with the name, be sure the cabinet file name is test.zip.

If the problem continues, go to discord and ask on the ask for help channel, post your cabinet there and someone (if not me) will for sure check it out.

Regards.

Yes. rooms are growing and growing as the quantity of cabinets do. So a quick way to get to where a game is becoming something necessary.

Thank you!

I hope you can feel the immersion and be transported to a genuine arcade gallery.

Play your favourite retro games in a virtual arcade gallery! (Quest2)

Do you remember when you used to go to the game gallery to play? We know that those days are gone, and new generations are not really interested in this kind of experience, In a world where games have evolved into something different and the game industry takes a different path, those galleries are, logically, disappearing.

This experience is an attempt to preserve the galleries, that feeling, in a virtual world where anyone with a VR headset can experiment with it.

It’s MAME compatible.
