Hi everyone! We are James (11) and Harry (8), two primary school brothers, and this is the first game we have ever made. We wanted to share it with real people instead of just playing it ourselves.
It is called Critter Pong. It is a retro 8-bit table tennis game, but instead of a boring opponent you play against 100 levels of critters that get sillier and tougher as you go. You start against a turtle and a rabbit, then it turns into foxes, aliens, monsters, and finally a dragon, a unicorn, and a banana monkey.
Some things we are proud of:
- Time freezes the moment you hit, so you can aim your shot
- Power shots that fire fast with a red trail
- A shop with lots of rackets to unlock, including twin dual-blade paddles (all free once you've earned them)
- Hidden duo levels where two critters gang up on you
- A secret hard mode if you are brave
It is free, it plays in your browser, and it works on phones and computers.
We would really love feedback. Tell us what you liked, what was too hard, what was too easy, or any silly ideas for critters we should add. We read everything and it makes our day.
