Our new VR game, A Giant Problem, has just been released!

Smash, bash and mash away your enemies as a giant set on defending a village under siege. Command troops, sling magic, rebuild your defenses - anything you can get your hands on could be a weapon! Of course with this being an Early Access title not all features are in the game. But it is playable and a lot of fun.

We have a road map of features and updates coming that include the following:

Hey everyone!
I'm Gregory Pellechi, and I'm the Chief Storyteller at Critical Charm. I handle design, production and marketing of our games. We're a small team in Helsinki, Finland and we're happy to have you here. We're really excited to get our first game A Giant Problem into your hands.

A Giant Problem combines the best of action games and tower defense, along with a big dose of what it's like to be big and powerful. It's made all the better by the fact it's designed from the very beginning for virtual reality. So whether you start playing Steam Early Access in Spring 2020, or after v1.0 is released sometime in the second half of 2020, we're glad you've given it a chance.

While it is unavoidable, each of us should make special efforts to share feedback in ways that are about the work and not the person. And remember to apologize or otherwise act with humility when our comments about someone's creation.
  • Violation of these rules will result in muting and/or banning, as determined by the Mods and the Team.
  • Specifically, please mind the Discussion Rules and Guidelines posted by Itch.

The team and I will be here, even if we don't always actively participate in every discussion. If you need to get a hold of us, you can always visit https://www.criticalcharm.com/ and use the Contact page. We also have an official Discord[discord.gg].

Thank you for being here and for your interest in our game. Now get out there and Smash, Bash and Mash the invaders!

Critical Charm is proud to announce their upcoming title, A Giant Problem. The virtual reality video game is set to release on PC and requires at a minimum a Windows Mixed Reality headset and motion controllers. Though it is designed to be played on the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive as well. The game is set to be released into Early Access on Steam in Q1 2019 and will be available for purchase there as well as Itch.io, the Oculus store, VivePort, and elsewhere in Q2 2019.

A Giant Problem is a first person simulator putting the player in the very big shoes of a giant tasked with defending their home. They’ll fight tooth and nail, okay maybe not tooth, but with their hands and anything they can get them on to fend off the invading forces. Players will marshal their village to stand up for themselves and man the walls in defense. As a giant they’ll sling magic missiles, toss rolling rocks and lob large logs at the oncoming hordes while trying to repair their defenses and protect their own treasures!

Critical Charm is a young team of game developers based in Helsinki, Finland headed up by CEO Marjo Sutinen. Art is the domain of Minna Salminen. Programming is the work of Sebastian Riikonen. While narrative and marketing are the realm of Gregory Pellechi. Together they design and develop out of their studio at Games Factory. The team are also participants in Farm League, the game incubator at Games Factory.
