I really loved the combination of audio and graphics in this game. The environments definitely reflected various liminal spaces. My favorite part was the beginning transition with the computer and the office area. Awesome work overall!

I think you did an amazing job on the sound work of the game and nailed a dream-like aesthetic! Beaches are one of my favorite settings and you definitely captivated and built upon the calming and drawing feeling a beach can provide. Also, even though I loved the suns lighting, I do think it may have been a bit too much. I did want to see just a little bit more of the surrounding seascape while looking towards the sun.

Loved the various environments and clever transitions between them. The lighting really set the mood for the experience and in my opinion really carried the atmosphere. It definitely felt liminal to me. Great work!

Although I liked the creativity of object placement in the various areas, I did get lost a couple times and got pretty confused on which direction to go next. Overall, good job on the liminal areas of the game and good work on the sound.

I thought Purgatory fit the liminal theme pretty well overall and the aesthetic of the game supported it quite well. The simple and cutesy art style made the unsettling parts more powerful to me. I also really liked the careful placement of objects and interactions in the game. Nothing seemed to be very carelessly placed around each area and everything seemed to have some sort of purpose. I felt more engaged with this sort of play style as it helped move the game faster along.  Lastly, I definitely liked the various environment transitions in the game. There was definitely a variety of environments that I enjoyed such as the clown room :)

A couple things I would note that I particularly had trouble with was the control scheme and certain UI interactions. As far as controls, I was initially confused why pressing 'E' would open doors and latches and why clicking happened to be picking up items. I thought at first that the 'E' key dealt universally with anything intractable while exploring. Additionally, a UI interaction that I was a bit frustrated on was entering the code to the keypad. The numbers don't show up as you enter them, so if I misclick a number while entering the password, I couldn't tell. This happened to me and when I tried to go back to check the pass code, I found that I was stuck in the room and could not backtrack. Therefore, I had to restart the game.

Yeah, the hammer does seem to be a bit harder to find than intended. Thanks for playing!

Glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for the heads up about the bugs!

Thanks so much for the heads up on the options menu glitch! Also, the rail gun was designed so that the player has to charge it up while firing off their other guns simultaneously. So it was for sure intentional. :D

Loved working on the game. :)
