So glad you and your friends enjoyed it! We have so far had no plans to expand it partly due to not wanting to make it something it was never meant to be. But, who knows, the future is never certain.

Thank you!

Great feedback! Displaying the currency in the upgrade UI is definitely needed.

At this time we have no plans to adapt it to another platform. If there's a lot of interest for that though we could reconsider :).

This should have been fixed in version 1.1.0 but I'll take another look and push an update if I can replicate the issue.

hmm. I have seen that the game pause when the game's browser window is not the top window or if you scroll down the page such that the game is no longer visible.

Are you playing in the browser or using the download?

Wonderful! Thanks for checking

Healthy dose of gut feeling :) They increase by a percentage based on what the last level's cost was.

There is! It's in the settings menu. Click on the menu button at the top right of the window then click the cog on the bookmark at the top of that window

We just pushed an update (v1.1.0) so I'd be interested to see if the new version fixes your transparency issue if you're so inclined!

Yep, we're looking in to how to make that clearer. Functionally it's like a health stat for the hero, but since the hero can't die calling it "Health" didn't make much sense either.

Thank you for the further details! Glad you're enjoying it so far :)

Thank you! Always great to see screenshots in action.

Thank you! Those black boxes are definitely not intended. I haven't been able to replicate this yet, so if you wouldn't mind sharing the Windows version, graphics card, and whether windows transparency effects are on (Settings -> Personalization -> Colors -> Transparency Effects). Also I'm curious what happens if you go to the game settings and turn Windowed Mode on.

If you'd rather we have a feedback form here or hop in our Discord and we can chat more. Thanks for playing!

Hello World!

We are proud to announce Desktop Legends! Desktop Legends is an idle, incremental, battlefield for your desktop game with optional powerful abilities that let you jump in when you want to. Customize your battlefield, fling goblins, and grow your hero's power all in a corner of your desktop.

Play on Itch

Progression happens on your time, with no penalties for being engrossed in your work, or needing a bathroom break. Amass coins while the hero fights for you, then spend those to advance the game state.

Use the coins dropped by enemies to enhance your hero's power, level up your enemies, and unlock powerful divine interventions. Each upgrade adds the potential for you to vanquish more enemies or earn more coins.

Change the vibes to match your style. Unlock custom, hand-drawn decorations to swap to a fresh look at any time. Mix and match backdrops, heroic banners, and more to create your perfect arena.

Combine forces with your hero to make a stand worthy of song! You are the divine intervention keeping your hero from succumbing to the hordes of enemies. Drop meteors, shake goblins for loose change, and more!

What's Next?

We are super excited with how the game has progressed so far, and we have much more planned for the future. More enemies to discover and more heroes to choose from just to name a couple. We'll be sharing progress reports along the way so stay tuned!

Thanks for playing! Sorry this comment got flagged for some reason and we just now noticed it.

Was not expecting the boss at the end at all. Great job!

Sure! No guarantees past 1k though ;).

Thank you! It's been great fun for us to see more screens full of dandelions.

Thank you so much! Glad we could contribute towards some education!

Hilarious! Enjoyed the mix of gameplay pacing between catching the fish and beating the fish. Well done!

Fellow dandelions!

RIP little pot. Love the faces on the pot as the tree grows.

This is such a cute idea! It was so satisfying to get the rewards for my phots while getting to walk around the park.

I also yeeted my water can off the screen, best way to touch grass!

Good job on your first game, that's a huge milestone!

Time of day cycle was well done. My poor clicker got tired by the end.

This was a ton of fun to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee! The first powerup of every level makes my player sprite disappear, though.

I really liked the grove farming loop, it was very cozy to get to play as a butterfly! It took me a little bit to figure out how to do things in the right order, and it would have been nice to have a pause menu that I could quit the game from when I was done.

Love the art and the landscape! Couldn't figure out how to grind ingredients after cutting them up though.

This is an utterly gorgeous design! Filling a journal with writing prompts like this is such a neat idea, and the layout and art of this PDF is perfect.

Lovely art style, the unique shape of the game window was a great touch. The music seemed to stop the first time I got the bugs to leave.
