Smooooth. This is fun!

Oh man I know. I was playing it after I submitted it and was like oh ... oh no

That's all. Looking forward to this jam!

y'know what? For the life of me I thought the theme was geometry and I always scrolled past the 321 thinking it was just a countdown or something. Whoops lmao

shift was just because it's close to the arrow keys. Space works as well

There is music. Works fine for me. I wonder if it's a bug or a system preference. I'm glad you enjoyed it! There were gonna be different enemies, but I settled on two types of obstacles and one enemy because I took too much time learning to animate the mc lol

Thanks!

Man, what a jam! I think I put more work into this jam than any other in such a small amount of time. This was my first sub-ten day jam and it was a lot of fun! I think the shorter time compared to what I'm used to forced me to work harder and better than I have previously. I learned a new animation software and experimented with different bits of my engine that I haven't before. I learned a lot of new things and I hope all who did the jam did as well! Anywho, here's my link https://crappie-coding.itch.io/504

I had so much fun with this. The smooth jazz, the crisp ball hit sound, the graphics! I could waste away hours with this.

Really enjoyed playing! The music got my head bobbing and I felt like an intergalactic DJ. If you continue the game, will you be adding visual cues to the beats or will it stay as a beat cue?

I am a simple creature. I could spend hours spinning a wheel. In short, I loved it.

The health system is so cool! It was a fun lil experience.

That is the plan for the future! Majority of this was just figuring out the card system. I'm really inspired by the deck builder "Night of the Full Moon" and want to eventually build something like it. I have other cards such as cpunters, traps, and defense lined up but I didn't want to overscope a game jam game.

That's a grand idea

The response to this has been beyond what I imagined so I'm thinking about something like that along with maybe some garden management mechanics. Something chill!

Oh hey they left a comment on my game too. I mean, for mine some of they aren't wrong but this is my first time even trying to simulate AI and lengthen a game. It was really discouraging for like five minutes but then I read all the other constructive criticism and it just encourages me now.

I reworked the game a lot and I'm thinking I shoulda just went with the original I had. Oh well, win some lose some lol

I'm pleased with what I made no matter my placing. I'm gonna keep working on the game too, including more puzzles, explorable areas, and a story. I'm excited for the future.

I love the momentum based gameplay and the graphics and the music. This is just *chef's kiss!* Excellent game!

This game is a diamond in the rough. I enjoy it's morose nature as a deviation from other games in the jam. The mechanics and how they're used are unique as well. I really, really enjoyed this. It also had pretty great sounds design that fit the aesthetic perfectly. Excellent job.

That's the mood I was going for! Thanks for the feedback 😊

I love the story behind this, so wholesome. I really enjoyed playing it and learning the history on the game's main page.

Yo I LOVE the direction change flip animation. So cool.

Very grindy. The music is a nice compliment to the gameplay. I enjoyed it!

Does the windows version start on the credits scene? I get a message that thanks me for playing the game and no inputs work. I really dig the art style o the game from what I see.

This game should be called "Getting out of Debt Simulator" with that first encounter in the woods. Fun and challenging! I really enjoy the art and the polished sounds you have in place. I ran into a bug on the pause menu where the cursor is still in the base layer and not the menu layer. Overall, really fun!

I imagine that this is what having kids is like. Fun game!

This reminds me of old school Atari games that I played growing up. Very nostalgic! I really enjoyed the graphics and challenging gameplay.

Thank you!

Hi! UTF-8 deals with character formatting. Check your file name and ensure that all your name are written in ASCII characters and don't have any accents or special characters . These can be tildes ~, exclamation points, etc. You can find a whole list of special characters here for reference: https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/s/specchar.htm

Hopefully this helps!

Yeah I thought it was really cool! After creating a light layer, you set game objects to light obstacles and they make the shadows. Really pleased with how it looks.

I really dig the art style. Reminds me of the flash games back in like 2010, which were perfect to me.

It took a bit, but I figured out how to prevent that. It should be good to go now!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll look into it!

This was fun. Just like a real dog! Love the minimalist style.
