Thanks a lot! I think this type of game heavily depends on level design to be fun, which is why I put more thought in it than I did with my previous games. I am very flattered by your response!

Here is what you could improve:

  • The jumping, it feels a bit unresponsive
  • The camera could be more zoomed out, a lot of times I couldn't see where I was jumping to
  • Be more consistent with your pixel art. The pixels of the player are a lot bigger than those of the ground and water. It makes your game look a bit messy.
  • The music is basically the same 15 notes looping over and over. I understand if you aren't really good at making music, because I am too, but I'd say just use a free piece of music from the internet or something.

The color pallete is pretty cool though and the movement is overall better than some of the other jam games I have played. I think if you would take my points into considiration it would be a pretty cool retro platformer.

Thanks! I'm not really good at animating so I usually take shortcuts for that (especially for this game jam), and made this player animation. I'll be sure to check out your game too.

I could't complete the first and third level, because there just was no way to get further. Maybe I am just dumb, but yeah. I really like the visuals though. The movement feels a bit unresponsive, because it takes too long to get to your max speed. If you would spend a while polishing the game and fixing the bugs, it would be pretty cool and I would play it again.

Thanks for playing and commenting! I will check out your game as well.

Thanks!

Thanks man! I'll rate your game too.

Thanks for your positive feedback man!

The menu looks very good and the graphics and the sounds/music are nice. However for me the game is just too hard. The holes are placed too close too each other, and the controls feel a bit unresponsive, probably because the you first turn the playfield, and then the ball has to react to that so I kind of feels like ice in platformers. Also, at first it isn't really clear that the purple circles were holes.

I make the game a bit easier and if possible make the controls more responsive, and it would be cool to play on mobile with tilt controls. Kind of like those wood boxes with a little metal ball in it where you have to avoid the holes and get to the end I used to play as a kid, but on mobile.

Thanks for your feedback! I will be sure to check out your game as well.

Thanks! And I am planning on making an android version.

Thanks!

Thanks man.

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

Thanks, I do agree with you that the level pretty much feels the same everytime you play it.

Thanks, I do have to agree with you that the level kinda feels the same everytime you play it. Maybe I'll eventually make a sequel with different types of levels such as the cave or tower you suggested. Anyway, thanks for the feedback!

Thank you! I kinda suck at making music so I just decided to skip it for this jam.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I am not really good at making walking animations (and animations in general), so I decided to go the easy way and make this kind of animation.

Thank you!

Thanks alot for the feedback!

Thanks! I think it turned out pretty good too, if I say so myself.

Thanks!

I know, it is the because of the font I am using. I can't really do much about it other than change the font completely.

Thanks dude!

So you mean platformer movement? I think there is a platformer controller already in Unity if you import the 2D asset pack.

What kind of movement?

Do you have some kind of programming class at school? (Because it is a school project.)

Awesome game dude, very addictive. Very good game for being made in 12 hours.
