Open for opportunities

Open for work!

yeah not bad!  Next time you got a game in the pipe and need some music, feel free to to reach out, it was nice working together last time!

Pretty fun!  Long time no see :)

Great upgrade to the classic minesweeper game--really enjoyed it!

Hey guys,

My team is doing a last call for a pixel/2D artist for the Stop Killing Games Community Jam.  We have everyone else we need, but an artist would really be appreciated.  It’s a talented team and we’re hoping to make something really good over the course of this coming week!

So you’re up for a stroll, let us know you can DM me on itch or email me at consolomusic@gmail.com

Thanks very much.

Open and looking for work

Great concept, really made me think like my grandma, who also devoted too much of her time to this

Very Cool game, relaxing, somewhat addicting, the one thing that was a little unclear was the significance of when/why to change levels -- apparently there's better loot below!

Loved it, great job -- now heavy lies the crown!

Thanks, John!  Thank you for taking the time and putting these thoughts together.  I agree, I’m gonna start slashing—the spacing I’ll have to look into because it’s one thing on the desktop and another on phones and I see what you mean, there, too.

Hey guys I've been sorta noodling around with my website which I first made about 10 years ago.  I've worked on a lot of projects over the years and it's hard to curate which items I should include of the hundreds of pieces of music I've done.  I've also written some entire soundtracks, but sadly and all-too-common, some were never released.  I've even put some of those up on my website because I thought the work was good -- good idea or bad idea (the devs are OK with it, I mean marketing-wise)?

Anyway I'm inviting constructive criticism, what you like, what you think it needs or doesn't need -- I don't have money for a massive website overhaul I'm just working with Squarespace, here, so think within those parameters.

Appreciate advice or words of wisdom from this vast community!

( I have a soundcloud as well but I mostly don't send it to people, just selected tracks on my website...  )

Hey everyone, plenty of sample work here on my website: https://www.consolomusic.com/ scroll down to the GAMES section!

Great for Fantasy, RPG, Visual Novels, and more!  Thematic and emotional music is my specialty - contact me if you're looking for music to help people connect to Emotions, Characters, and Story.   I bring full effort to whatever I'm working on, even the simplest game jam.

$75  /  Track for loops over 2mins.  Negotiable for shorter loops. Payable on Venmo, Cashapp, Paypal, Zelle

Email: consolomusic@gmail.com / website contact form / DM on itch!

I can make it retro (Sega, Nintendo, Playstation) or a fairly realistic game-appropriate sound at this price.

Hope to hear from you and see what you're working on.

-= I don't and won't use AI.  I use a piano, Dorico for notation, and old Logic plugins =-

https://soundcloud.com/shaun-finnegan here's my soundcloud, it's filled with less recent stuff I've done over the years.  My favorite thing on there is this playlist, ambient tracks I did for a medieval game that never released: https://on.soundcloud.com/lA8gb60el7GZoul9f1

and also,

my website has more of my film/recent stuff: https://www.consolomusic.com/ .  You can even watch whole movies I've done, there, links to game jams and a couple soundtracks I've done are on spotify embeds.

@leafo thanks for doing this :)

Surprisingly intense and very engaging.  You managed to incorporate enough movement and powerup elements and balance it with the frenetic defense mission.  I always pay attention to sound and the music really helped to amp up the energy, too.  Great work!

I LOVED this, very creative, pretty easy to pick up, I dropped a tape :), love that you got so many artists' stuff in there.   Great job

It's probably the most realistic Loop for a lot of us :) :(

Just like my life!

Very nice style, feel, and look.  The puzzles were just getting good when I think Puzzle 4 or 5 (elevator) something went wrong, but yeah fantastic play up until then!

Hey, the mood of this game is awesome.  Hit me up if you’d like me to make a soundtrack for it, free of charge.  Seems like it would only need to be ambient, and only play occasionally. Discord: mrjackpots6055

Mucho Thank You

great achievement on such a short time-line, particularly in the level design department and concept of using your deaths to progress through.  The game calls upon a lot of familiar early platformer puzzles and bundles it up with into a unique and highly enjoyable, replayable product.  Bonus points for the "dark mischief" feel to the game in art and audio, really helps with the feeling of puzzle-solving but simple enough to let you concentrate on the solutions.  Really enjoyed myself

I was able to stand still and shoot Kim after the level reloaded (I had died once) and he didn’t fire any missiles  during that whole 2nd time

Theme use was on point, music was effective not only tonally but as an indicator of the speed, everything looked and felt great and it was a concept that kept me engaged and playing!  Didn't know or care what the items were I just knew they made me better somehow lol.

Thanks, our simple little goal was that even if you close your eyes, you'll know what room you're in :)

The fox reminds me of the snowman from SkiFree, just as creepy in an adorable way.  Fun game and great feel, all I needed was a more visual way of knowing 5 chickens was "full" at first but obv. figured out real quick.

The taxi thing was weird but I enjoyed Kim, up until I realized I must've found a bug where I could just stand and shoot him without any missiles!

Fun, addictive,  it's Frogger-meets-Necrodancer with shapes!  Setting aside the theme requirements this is a strong contender with a great intuitive feel.

Art was very well executed and easy on the eyes, and Sound Effects helped to underpin that chalk-world feel.  Gameplay was great, too.

haha cool!  Hit me up on DC:  mrjackpots6055

Thought I might also add my soundcloud page in here as it might be pertinent to games: https://soundcloud.com/shaun-finnegan

"This is snake.  Colonel, can you hear me?"

I do!  https://soundcloud.com/shaun-finnegan

Just bear in mind I haven't added anything to this SC in a little while. Lots of old game stuff I did on there, and I have actually done some very basic SFX for games as well, though mostly digitally created. Depending on how many sounds you need I might be able to do that.

Per your 2nd question: images are best (concept art, screenshots) an overview of the game (you can dm me or email consolomusic@gmail.com), and we can have some back-and-forth about the tone/structure and also what style of music you'd like to have in it.
