It's our first time in GDevelop too! :)

We wanted to learn some new skills and although our game was a bit buggy we were just really happy we could deliver something playable at least.

Thank you! and thanks for playing :)

Thank you for playing our game :)

We definitely plan on polishing it after the jam, definitely not going to neglect the sound so much in future game jams and make sure we properly manage time for it

Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you for playing our game and taking the time to give feedback :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to play and comment :)

glad you like it!

Thank you!

sorry about that, I did put the instructions on the page but I'll be sure to add it to the game after the jam, we did run a little low on time :)

The custom collisions are also going to be fixed to solve the lighting issues

Thank you for taking the time to play and give feedback!

Thank you for playing our game and for your kind words! :)

Really cool concept for the game jam, very much reminds me of Getting Over It 😂

Some checkpoints are a bit far, but other than that this game is great 👍

Well done on the entry!

This game is really cute! I love these kinds of games where you go to collect and bring back as much as you can to trade in 👌

Really good job on this one!

Cute idea for a game! ✨

I love how you implemented the match-3 game formula in your own way 👌

This is what it would of looked like if they made clicker games for the Gameboy Color 👌😂

Awesome idea for the game, love the color palette ✨

This game is really fun! It reminds me of that old style that doom gives off.

A few things that could be fixed up:
Some feedback from getting hurt
The enemies are quite tanky, rather have more than enemies than enemies with more health
The rocket launcher didn't seem like it was working

Good entry 👌

Good scaling for a game jam!

I liked the part where I got to fly the rocket 😂

I finished with 1 heart left 😬

Small, simple game! Perfect for a game jam 👍

Thanks for playing!

We were aiming for a complete time of 15 mins so people could experience the whole game before rating 😅

I would recommend attempting to continue with the game 👍 polished projects will also always look good for your portfolio

Really fun game!
Reminds me of the old school sonic games! Good movement, good soundtrack, great art ✨

Well done on this entry! 👌

This is a very well made game, would love to see a full release of it 👍

Beyblade was the first thought that came to mind 😅

The mechanics for this game were so fun 😂 really good job on this one!

You had me locked in the whole time 👌

Cool concept for a more detailed game!

I like the emotion you are bringing to the game, good choice of music 👌
You should continue to work on this and polish it

I claim the clown throne 😂👌

That was a really fun interactive game, had a blast playing it! This is one of the most creative entries I've seen ✨

Cute Game!

It wasn't too hard to finish, but not too easy to where it was boring 👌 good balance
One problem I had was that rocks would spawn outside the movable area.

Good entry!

Cool idea for a rhythm game!

I think the controls need to be more responsive for this kinda game, but that isn't difficult to implement 👍

Cool comic at the beginning for the intro, would be really good with a soundtrack!

Cool concept for a platformer!
At first I wasn't sure why I couldn't jump, then I realized 😅

Cool concept, the controls are pretty hard to work with though.

Keep polishing and you will have yourself a decent game 👍

Cute Game!

I didn't fully understand what to do at first, so just a small tutorial prompt would be helpful 👍

I love the pixel art for the game! It has such a classic style that fits well with the theme ✨

Thank you! That means a lot 👍

When I found out GDevelop had a 2D lighting system I just knew I had to work with it 😂

Credit to our artist for the story! It was not part of the plan, but she came up with it in her free time!
We will be updating the game after the voting is complete ✨

Thank you for playing our game!

It was our developer's first time using GDevelop, so he challenged me to try pixel art :)

Thanks for the feedback!

It was our first time working in GDevelop so everything felt new. We decided to have our artist work on pixel art for the first time to make it fair 😂 I always have the difficulty in mind when creating a game for a game jam as I know that the judges usually only spend around 15 mins playing your game. I knew that if it was way too easy for me, it was the perfect difficulty for someone that hasn't played it 👌 although the spider enemies surprised more people than expected 😅

We will be sure to check out your game 👍

Stay tuned for the update! ✨

Thanks! I really wish I did have time to as it would have added so much more charm, but unfortunately we didn't get to finish everything on our to-do list 😅 we are going to be posting an update once we have time after the voting to give a better experience 👌

Thank you! We are looking to post a new update once we have time after voting to make it squeaky clean ✨👌

That was a very nice game, loved the story. Got me a little emotional 😅

The balancing was good, it wasn't too hard to finish.
I love that you used the 2D lighting system in your game as well, it looks great 👌

Good entry! ✨

Thanks for the feedback 👌
To be honest I was planning to use the custom collisions most of the objects, but I didn't get to finish it in time 😅
Either way, we are planning an update once the voting is complete to make the game nice and polished ✨

Thanks for the feedback! 👌 It was my first time developing using GDevelop, when I found out about the 2D lighting system I just knew I had to take a shot at it 😎😂

I will be sure to let you know as soon as I can defeat the second phase of the silhouette kid boss 👌😅 That chalk is smacking me around the classroom 😂

I loved the art style and the concept was good, the pencil character is just adorable!

I loved the gameplay the only improvement I would recommend is some sort of indication towards checkpoints just to help us out a bit :)

Great job!

Really fun game! 👌

A few notes I have:
At one point it felt like the second enemy's bullets just stopped hurting me
The boss hit me with a fireball and I started floating away 😂
The enemies had quite a bit of health

I loved the art style!
Movement felt smooth

Good entry! 😎

Not really sure what to do, maybe a small tutorial or some more info will help? :)

I really enjoyed the gameplay, it easily gets you hooked :)

I also really liked the pixel art and the animations and the audio you matched with it is great, maybe a pixel font and UI would have fit more harmonious with the rest of the design choice

Great job!

I love the art style on the game 👌 the story is nice as well
Also, great reference at the end 😂
