Thanks! We felt like giving the mad scientist some personality would help players through the process ✨

Thanks for the feedback, we wanted to give the game more humor as I don't usually see much in game jams 😅
I should have mentioned it in the dialogue. The day is supposed to end at 00:00, then you would wash in the lab, collect body parts at night and stitch the bodyparts together whenever you had parts.
We were only able to debug up to the end of the tutorial 😅
Very cool metroidvania style game ✨
Pros:
Art is incorporated well
Soundtrack is calming
The mechanics for the game were implemented quite well (maybe the ledge compensation could be a bit smaller)
Lighting was quite nice
Cons:
Damage doesn't feel very impactful
It felt a bit cramped, I think the levels could do with more open space
The boss seemed a bit small, I would scale it up some more to make it feel more intimidating
Great submission! 👌
It took me a little while to understand the game, but once I did it was really fun! ✨good use of assets, it can be important to pick the right assets that look good for your game 👍
One thing I can say is that I didn't really see a point to the health system for the giant, as the enemies would usually do 1 damage and the fish bone would give 1 health. It would of been better if there was a dynamic fighting system instead of one hit to kill, but this can be implemented after the jam, if continued 👌
Good submission! Gave my brain a good feeling 😂✨
I love the little cutouts and how you animated them, overall it was a pretty fun and unique concept having to go catch the fishies for other cats. Your audio paired nicely with the style you went for, as previously mentioned by someone else it would just be better to keep all your assets looking the same to keep the vibe the same (like the seaweed being a bit more cartooney and the rest are cutouts)
I had a lot of fun playing it tho, good job! :)
Thank you, and thank you for taking the time to play and review :)
We ran a little low on time, we wanted more minigames and the randomizer was supposed to go off to trigger the breaker room as well, so I knwo after the tutorial its a bit dishwashy, we plan to fix this after the jam, as well as making the continue button reveal the text for faster readers in dialogue :)
Thanks for the feedback! ✨ I got the grave digging idea from an old ps2 game called Monster Lab.
We only got to debugging up until the end of the tutorial, but we were already way behind schedule 😅 so there are a few bugs, but you should be able to dig a bodypart from the grave once a day after 17:00. The day ends at 00:00.
I will be sure to go check your game 👌
The overall feel of the game is really nice, the art, colors and audio really complement each other and I feel like it has a lot of potential. The controls are really hard to get used to making it really difficult to dock and the barge keeps snapping off super easy, so I think if you can tweak that it would be an amazing game.
Great job tho! :)
