We are developing a top-down, "Gungeon-style" nature-horror looter-shooter. The game features a unique "Mimicry" system in which enemies and environmental elements shift to hunt the player. The aesthetic is built on crisp 20x20 pixel art.
The Current Team:
- Owner / Lead Artist: Handling all 2D assets, animations, and world-building.
- Lead Scripter (Me): Handling project architecture, core physics, and GDExtension integration.
- Project Manager: Handles the project.
Technical Stack:
- Engine: Godot 4.x (.NET Edition)
- Primary Languages: C# (Gameplay/Logic) and C++ (Performance-critical systems via GDExtension).
- Environment: We use a lightweight MinGW/VS Code workflow.
Who we are looking for: We need additional scripters to help build out the following systems:
- Loot & Inventory: C#-driven systems for procedural weapon/item drops.
- AI & Stealth: Implementing "Mimicry" behaviour (stealth/transformation logic).
- Core Optimisation: Using C++ for high-performance enemy counts and projectile management.
Requirements:
- Experience with C# (preferably within Godot).
- Familiarity with C++ is a massive plus, but we can help you get your environment set up.
- Reliable communication and a passion for horror or looter-shooter mechanics.
How to Apply: If you want to work on a project that already has a working build environment and clear art direction, comment below or message me with a link to your portfolio or a brief description of your past Godot/C# work.
Payment:
Payment will be from 2% to 10%, depending on the contribution. Additionally, you can be paid outside of the percentage plan
