Personally I'd love to see this happen. No hate towards Patreon, but they cast a rather wide net when it comes to the services they support. It'd be great to see someone that's dedicated to games take up the subscription support model and refine it into something that works for both gamedevs and players alike. I can't think of anyone better-suited for that task than itch.io!
