Is this a multiple endings type of game? It feels like it based on the end year report — love that mechanic. I thought it was going to be analog horror at first which had me on edge, but the tone surprised me in a good way. The chance mechanic is interesting but the yes/no spin wheel threw me off — it reads like you're answering a question when you actually have no control over it. My suggestion would be replacing yes/no with red and green, then color coding the options in the sentence to match their wheel counterpart. That way the visual language is consistent. Either that or a quick how to play at the start would clear it up. Overall though, massive potential here.

I loved the music and art direction, especially the cat — I called him Lil Hairball because he kept stealing my cards. The guitar was calming, which helped because the gameplay took me a minute to figure out. I thought the cards had to land on their matching selector, but then I realized it's basically keep-away from Lil Hairball to stack cards and get through a night at the lighthouse. Would've loved some kind of reward for making it to the top, but overall — cozy. Really cozy.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I had an amazing time playing. I kept looking over saying " please don't kill me bruh ". It felt like an intimate moment with death peeking over your shoulder. Also I learned a new word..."Lethe" only cost me all 430 coins. I thought i was going to be murdered when I hit the death spin — but he robbed me instead, which felt worse than dying(which apparently I already was lol). The sound, design, and dialogue sells the humor in a very serious situation. Id come back daily to play, great job!
Appreciate you taking the time to check it out despite the upload situation — that means a lot genuinely. And you’re right about multiplayer coordination being a jam problem, but I actually built around that. There’s a Practice Mode where you dodge bad squares and try not to shoot yourself — no opponent needed, just you vs. your own shaky hands. Honestly it might be the more fun mode. I play it by myself regularly. Taking everything from this jam into the next one. Good looks 🤝
Hi Hussteadaddy( intriguing name btw) — my itch upload got corrupted when I accidentally deleted the ZIP right as submissions locked, so there's nothing to see on the page. I'm out of the running and not trying to change that — just sharing the actual build here so people can play it: Shaky Showdown Game
Sorry for the confusion!

Jill, you have no idea how much this comment meant. You took the time to actually engage with the game and tell me what was missing. Your feedback is literally why I built a single player practice mode, a slightly more structured menu with a full how to play screen during my final hours of the jam. You saw what the game needed before I did. For what it's worth. I'm not in the voting pool anymore — my upload got corrupted and I know that disqualifies me. But I wanted you to know your time wasn't wasted. You made the game better. Here is a link to the game if you want to play: Shaky Showdown Game . Thank you 🤝
The game was exactly as I expected in a good way. The spin mechanic is great. The shield around it as well as the colors of the spinner with the music is gold. It’s balanced and make you want more. In my opinion you should use w to jump instead of space because it’s easier on the hands. But even if you didn’t this game is still amazing. There is so much I want to say about it but overall great demo. ( oh I skipped level 3 btw it gave me hell lol )
